Dev groaned and flopped down on his back, totally not afraid of falling at all. "I came up here to be alone James, you know that why I always come up here!" Dev said, feeling bad about how he had said that to James. "I think you should try talking to Katie again..." Dev mumbled as he sat up and brought his legs up to his chest, resting his chin on his knees.

Katie side and leaned against the edge of the ship as James walked away form her too. She looked up and saw the two brothers sitting together. She wondered what they were talking about all the time. They seemed to always be together.

Katie glanced at James. "Thats odd hearing such a comment from a pirate," she said, looking down at the sea again. "I would think that a pirate of all people would understand the wonder and amazment of the ocean." She shrugged. "I guess I was wrong."

Dev grinned at James and punched his brothers shoulder lightly. "I'll be find, softie..." he chuckled and stretched out on his stomach, he could see the whole ship from way up there, and he could aslo see Katie and James talking.

"If I were a pirate, I'd never stop at land," Katie said with a smile. She close her eyes as a gust of wind flung her hair back.

After the wind had passed, Katie glanced at James. He was staring at her intently. "What?" she asked. She cocked her head to the side in the way she always did when asking a question.

"It sure doesn't sound like nothing," Katie said with real concern. After talking to Dev, she realized she had been a little prejudice against the whole ship. Maybe if she treated James like a human, he would treat her more kindly in return.

Dev stared intently down at the pair. He was extremely happy for James and kept sending him thoughts like 'be more open! don't shy away!' but James obviously wouldn't get thim. But on the other hand, Dev couldn't help but feel extremely envious, and he couldn't help but picture himself standing next to Katie and not James.
