"Kay, why, though," Monday asked, giving the dandelion a final bat.

"You think she's cute, wait till you live with her. I have 2 shadows now," Midnight giggled to Jagger. "Maybe, just maybe, she can share a stall with Rascal later. But maybe. Who knows, perhaps Rascal wouldnt mind, i mean, after all, they escaped the puppy mill together, so i guess Rascal tolerates her more. I don't know, she probably annoys the most patient litter mates," Midnight chuckled.

"Yeah. What a great pup. She and Rascal, they have been through the worst, yet they are so tame..." Midnight said as she thought about the day her and her master found the two pups eating a kill.

"Yeah, it is. I heard form Monday, she and Rascal were in two kennals right next to each other, but Midnight was a mix-up. her fater was a cocker spaniel, her mother a skipperkee, thats where the black comes from. I'm not sure about Rascal, like about her breed, though she lookd like a rotwiler and some other dog WITH a tail, which is probably why she was going to be..." Midnight's voice trailed off. "Well, Monday found out what was happening and she told Rascal, so they ran away from the mill, which was in New Jersy, all the way out to Kentucky. Our master shot a bird, and when I went to go and get it, there they were, eating the bird's leg. Our master decided to take them home, so Monday and Rascal followed. That's how Monday followed me. She just walked up behind me and said, 'Hi, I like you. You look like my mommy. She was a skipperkee, like you. Right Rascal, right? My mommy was a black skipperkee, like you!' and now she makes me feel like a skipperkee, even though the only resemlence is the black coat!" Midnight laughed. "Well, thats why, you guys, she's soooo happy, almost about everything. She wants to put the past behind her. She wants to be a bird-dog, which is why she follows us around," Midnight explained. "All THEY want is love. I don't know Rascal's side, like her breed and stuff, but thats just something Monday told me the night Monday claimed my stall as 'ours', and I have never forgotten it."
