Jaka: Wuh, what happened *remembers* oh jeez *fainst again*)
'Uh, uh pups did you say?' Jaka said, gulping loudly. He loved Dawn, that he knew, but pups were a big step forwards and they didn't even have a home yet. He couldn't help but pull himself away from Dawn, he shuffled his body away from her and removed himself from her touch. After years of abuse that was his only real defence apart from running, which he was working himself up to doing. He didn't want to hurt Dawn, but his over the top fear was his only flaw, and one that cropped up often. 'Why...why do you ask now?' he muttered, his eyes wide.
Karba shook his head but was grinning. He trotted over and lay down near his brother, wondering how he could be such a goofball and yet such a great friend. Maybe it is only because he is a goofball that he is so loveable he thought happily before drifting asleep.
(Oh yeah I have done Jaka's new design)

'Well if you don't know then why did you say anything, it's too early to even be thinking about it, we don't have a home or anything we need' Jaka said, feeling himself calm down slightly. He felt bad now for upsetting Dawn, but all the same he felt he couldn't go back to her touch just yet. He needed answers, but felt himself becoming angry at himself for what he was asking. She probably doesn't know why she is asking, why would she have a reason, she was just asking he told himself angrily.

Jaka was stupified. Dawn had just turned her back to him, what could that MEAN! Was their relationship breaking apart on the first night because of a few stupid words. When he heard her say she was sorry, tears sprung to his eyes. He waited a few minutes until he was sure she was asleep, and then got up and crept out of the den. Sweet dream Dawn, I need time to myself, time to think. If this isn't to be, then it would be best if I left he thought, hoping somehow that Dawn could hear him. He walked away from the den, not knowing what direction to go in, or even where he was going.

Jaka wandered for what felt like hours, maybe days, apart from the fact that it was still dark. He felt awful, his head and heart hurt badly, he cried every few seconds and his legs felt so weak. He felt like he would die, that a part of him had been ripped away and he was slowly bleeding to death. He knew what it was, it was Dawn, he shouldn't have left and now he was suffering for it. He stumbled and fell, jarring his shoulder badly, but he made no effort to get up, he just lay there sobbing. He didn't want to live anymore, if Dawn had woken and hated him for leaving then there was no way he could go back. She would tell him to get lost, that she doesn't love him, and that really would break his heart. But if she was still alseep, or understood why he had left, then maybe he could fix the state he was in. Do I take the chance of redemption, or do I take the chance of dying a lonely, heartbroken death he thought, but unable to decide there and then he just carried on lying in the dirt, wetting it with his tears.
Karba woke as Dawn started to leave, she looked upset. He kicked Trooper hard in the stomach, and without waiting he scurried off after Dawn. He watched in anger as she began to cry, knowing that Jaka had yet again hurt her. As she approached the cliff he held his breath, hoping she would jump, but breathed a sigh of relief when she lay down. I am going to find Jaka and rip him apart for hurting Dawn he thought. He waited to see if Trooper had followed him though.

'Jaka ran off again, he has really upset Dawn this time, after he told her he loved her and all' Karba hissed back, his anger showing in his flashing eyes. He silently signalled for Trooper to follow and took off after Dawn. He kept his nose to the ground as Dawn was doing, trying to scent Jaka as Dawn was doing, but no matter where he went it stayed the same, not getting weaker or stronger. 'This is ridiculous, help me try and find him, I am going to personally rip him apart' he growled to Trooper.
Jaka raised his head, all his sadness turning to memory and instinct in a rushing waterfall of colour and sound. The ancient song of his ancestors enveloped him, and he sung to woeful song that so many before him had sung. He howled into the gathering clouds, into the dark sky, and into the rain that was just starting to fall. He stopped for a few seconds, and then began again, but longer, more powerful, and with more feeling and sorrow. He stopped after a few minutes, and taking a deep breath he stood up. I am going to find Dawn and apologise, I love her and that is the main thing, I shouldn't have run he thought, and started to head into the woods.

Karba mentally sighed with relief that Trooper was not trying to stop him from killing Jaka, and that he was going to help him. He sniffed around some more and finally he caught Jaka's scent. It was heading deep into the woods in the general direction of the den. He nudged Trooper and whispered 'come on, let's find Jaka'.
Jaka was heading back to the den in a wide zig zag pattern, looking desperately for Dawn or her scent. He sighed, but raised his ears as he heard a familiar voice drift through the murky night. 'Dawn, I'm here' he whispered, his voice hoarse from his crying and panting. He licked the inside of him mouth a bit and yelled as loudly as he could 'Dawn, I'm here'. He started to run to where he had heard Dawn's voice, his heart fluttering at the fact he would soon be with her, but also because she had gone to look for him. She doesn't hate me! he thought happily.
