"Well, there are three here and Sue has one," Rose said. "So thats four. And even with Luke and Sally out of the equation, thats not enough."

Danielle laughed. "Yes, that would be a good punishment, but I doubt it wil happen," she said. "You see, you have to be very in touch with nature to be one. And you have to be born into it too."

"So, we need two more, right?" Jake asked, kneeling down among the clothes they had thrown on the floor.

Alice chuckled. "That would be funny, Luke."

"Yeah." said Luke, smiling. "What if it turned him into a stinkbug?" he asked, smiling.

Sally laughed. "PU!" she joked, giving a yuck face.

Sue looked around. She found two long raincoats. "Will these do?" she said. She picked them up and sniffed them, quickly gaging, turning head and holding her nose. "Peeyew!" she exclaimed. "They smell like rotton fish but I guess we can wash them."

Jake grimaced. "Yeah, they'll have ot work." He reached out and took one. "I'll wear one if it'd be any easier."

Alice laughed. "Luke, that would be funny. Let's hope it happens."

Rose took the raincoat from Jake. "You are not wearing it when it smells like that," she said. "We do own a wahcing machine. And hopefully it get some of the stench out." She help the coat at arm's length, keeping the smell as far away from her nose as she could.

Danielle smiled, not daring to tell them that it was impossible for such a thing to happen. She didn;t want to crush the young pups' imagination and hopes.

Luke nodded. "IT would be funny! And it would serve him right!" he said, wait wagging.

Sue nodded. "I sure do hope." he said. "They reek right now and we've all got sensitive noses."

Jake grinned. "Thanks. Do you want me to carry ti at least?" He didn't want her to have to carry it. To be honest, he'd deal with any stench for Rose.

Alice grinned. "We'll give him just deserves."

"Sure," Rose said, tossing the rain jacket to Jake. She was glad to have the stench away from her, but secretly more happy that Jake had offered.

"How about we concentrate on catching him before we decide what we're gonna do to him," Danielle said.

Jake caught the coat and slung it over his shoulder. He smiled. "No rpoblem, Rose. Anytime." He tore his gaze away from her and looked at Sue. "Yeah, they could. Especially for those with huge ears."

Alice chuckled. "Sure thing, Danielle. Good idea."

"I guess we better get back downstairs," Rose said, picking up a few hats so she was at least carrying something. "The sooner we catch this guy, the better."

Danielle smiled down at the pups as she petted them both.
