"Um, alright," May said. "Well, I guess my live was pretty normal. I lived with my mom till I was old enough, than my boy, Jack, adopted me. I think he had a dog before, but she died around the time I was born. My mother's family and my new family knew each other long before I was born, so when I was, Jack was promised a puppy. And, er, I guess that's really it. Nothing much to tell."
"Yeah, yeah yeah," Dan said. "But I have to go. If not, the boss'll come looking for me." Dan turned back to go up the stairs.
