Jenna smirked "TWO months ago?" she echoed. She leaned a paw up, bapping her mate on the head. "I thought you meant more recently.

Kai nodded. "It's the dog part of me." he chuckled.

Tai giggled. "See you later, Momma," she said, giving Katie's cheek a lick. "Let's go then," she smiled.

The doctor nodded, picking up Lena in his arms. "Why, do you like that?" he asked. He didn't know, but he had grown such a bond when he locked his eyes on the pup. "I'm certain there'll be more than enough. Only a small bit of antitoxin is need. Say 4 or 5 milligrams per dog?"

"Well who would take them?" asked Balto. "Besides, I know were to get more, that isn't the only place I know with them."

Cachen nodded. "Yeah, we're hybreds after all, I'm proud of it."

Fang nodded and jumpped down through the grate. "Come on then."

Lena felt happy, she'd grown convinced no human would want her, maybe she was wrong. She licked the man's cheek when he picked her up. She let out a happy bark, eyes lit up when they said they'd cure wolves too.

The assistent nodded. "We only need to set up the sled and we'll be ready to send them, that and I'm certain the townspeople will want to see the heroes off." he said, petting Lena's head. "We're lucky they're wolfdogs, not just cause of immunity but because they're better in this weather than normal dogs."

Jenna nodded, giving a slight sigh. "I see you're point. OK, you got me, let's go" she chuckled.

Kai nodded, puffing out his chest, meaning to be funny. "Right! Hybrid pride huh?" he grinned.

Tai nodded, jumping donw the grate after Fang. "Okay, let's get going."

The doctor laughed, turning Lena onto her back and tickling her red belly. "Agreed. Though the pups might be getting cold. Fur not totally developed and all. Plus we do have to check their health."

Balto nodded. He got up and stretched. "Let's go."

Cachen nodded. "Yeah, that and we've got great heratage."

Fang nodded and began walking.

Lena laughed, enjoying being tickled. I wonder if he'd want me?

The assistent nodded. "Should I get the stuff to give them a check up?"

Jenna nodded, tail curling up slowly. "Alright. Let's get going. Remember though, we have to be back in time to get hooked up to the sled." she smiled cutely.

Kai nodded. "Of course we do! I mean, we're the Grandkids of the greatest wolfdog around!" he smiled.

Tai smiled, following close behind Fang.

The doctor chuckled. "that won't be necessary, Just, try to find an empty checkup room, will you?' he asked, standing up with Lena still in his arms. "i'll get the pups in."

Balto nodded and started towards the hill.

Cachen nodded and overheard the doctor. "Looks like they're going to look us over, maybe they can do something about our fleas." he said, scratching with his hind leg.

Fang came outside and set down beside Kodi. "It looks like the doc has taken a liking in Lena."

Lena snuggled close to the human, she felt loved. Maybe he didn't want her as his dog but still, she liked humans petting her.

The assientent nodded. "I'm not sure we have one, if we don't will the boiler room do?"

Jenna smiled, following after Balto. "This certainly takes you back, doesn't it Balto?" she asked.

Kai smiled lightly, finally able to stop the irritated twitching. He growled, starting to scratch as much as he could. "Good! Good! Very GOOD."

Tai nodded, looking up at her sister with a giggle.

Kodi nodded, looking very happy about it. "Yep. And I think Lena likes him back."

The doctor nodded, being oh so gentle with Lena. "The boiler room will be fine if we don't have any rooms." he said, keeping Lena close to his chest.

Balto nodded, holding the lantern in his mouth. "Yeah didn't we have a date up here after the sirum run?"

Cachen nodded. "Yeah, that's one of the few problems with living in the woods, its VERY hard to get rid of fleas!"

Fang nodded. "Yeah, I know she's wanted a human, think this might be her chance?" he asked, being careful about the subject.

Lena looked at her sister and smiled.

The assistent nodded. "I'm pretty sure we'll have to with so many sick dogs in the office." he said, he looked at Tai. "Now that one has to be Kodi's, look at her, she's like a younger female verson of him." he petted her head and looked at her feather cord. "Nice little necklace you've got there." he said, smiling.

Jenna chuckled, walkign up beside Balto. "I'm sure we did...I remember it so well." she nuzzled him softly.

Kai nodded, still shakign from the irritating biting of fleas

Tai smiled back up at her sister, then to the assistant. Her tail started to wag sweetly as he petted her head.

Kodi nodded. "I think so, Fang. I really think so." he said with a big smile.

The doctor smiled, tickling Lena once more. "Hmm. You wouldn't even think these pups were wolf at all, would you?" he chuckled.

Balto returned his mate's nuzzled. "Yeah, me to, I think it was the same night of the sirum run."

Cachen nodded. "Man theses things are annoying."

Fang nodded. "How do you think Katie would take it though? She never really like the idea of parting with her babies."

Lena laughed from the tickling.

"Well being part wolf isn't a bad thing like I said, I'm not even sure why so many people in town didn't like them, they've never hurt us after all." said the assistent, keeping petting Tai. He noticed Cachen and Kai. "I think those two have fleas, we'll have to fix that, you have fleas too girl?" he asked Tai.

Jenna nodded. "After Rosy went home we came up there." she looks up at the approaching hill. "you don't know how much I missed you when you were gone."

Kai nodded, giving a soft whimper. "Dang, why won't they go away?!"

Tai tilted her head, giving a soft blink or two.

Kodi nodded. "She knows Lena's always wanted a human. And all she wants is to make her babies happy."

The doctor chuckled, looking down at Lena. "It's possible. I mean, if they're all siblings, then they'd probably all have fleas. you know what that means." he rubbed Lena's head. "Fleabaths"

Balto nuzzled Jenna. "If you missed me half as much as I missed you, I think it'd be more than most dogs would."

Cachen pricked his ears at the conversion between the humans. "Well it looks like they're going to help us with that." he smirked.

Fang nodded. "And she'll always have Kai, I don't think anything could get him out of the wild and into a human house."

Lena nodded, scratching her head with her front paws and giving a soft whimper.

The assistent nodded. "And even if some of them don't have fleas, I'm certain a bath would feel good." he scratched Tai's ears.

Jenna chuckled. "Please, I was the one worrying the most. Especially after Steele told such a bad lie."

Kai whimpered, looking up before falling onto his back. "Oh thank you! Thank you!" he called out.

Tai smiled, licking the assistant's cheek sweetly.

Kodi laughed. "you're right. Nothing could get Kai to live as a pet."

The doctor smiled worriedly, holding Lena out in front of him as you would a baby. "Oh, poor thing." he brought her back close. "Don't worry."

Balto nodded. "True, though you can't say I wasn't under a lot of pressure, if I failed, Rosy wouldn't of made it and that would of broke your heart, I couldn't live with ether thing happening."

Cachen nodded. "I agree."

Fang nodded. "He's like your sister Aleu, destine to be a wolf."

Lena barked happily. She loved the attention and that she'd get rid of her fleas.

The assistent nodded. "Well other than the fleas, they seem like happy healthy pups."

Jenna nodded, eyes closed a moment. "You have a very good point."

Kai nodded, giving a few twitches. "Good you agree."

Tai smiled, giving the assistant a soft nuzzle. She wagged her tail furiously, big blue eyes growing larger and cuter.

Kodi nodded. "Can't blame him. Katie did choose a good name for him."

The doctor nodded, tickling one of Lena's back paws. "You're right. Say; you think the pups have owners yet?" he asked out of simple curiosity.
