"I would.... but I can't." she said from upstairs hearing him.

Vanessa nodded and watched Simon walk out the door.

Halina slowly came down, and saw Simon was gone... she dropped her ears and walked towards the back door and slid through it, not saying a word.

Simon went off to the old boiler room at the edge of time, the boiler didn't run anymore, but the little building still served as a good place to hang out or just relax.

Halina walked around town, she passed the Boiler room at the end of town before finding a scent of Simon, a new one. she peeked in and saw him, "Hey Simon..." she said and looked down her ears also flat against her head.

Simon looked over from his spot on the floor.
"Oh..hey Halina.." he greeted with a smile.

"Can I come in...?" she asked slowly.

"Yea a'course." Simon said, sitting up.

Halina slowly came in and sat down at least 3 to 4 feet away from him. "Either I'm just too... paranoid, or I'm just getting Jealous like my mother..."

Simon tilted his head. "I don't..understand?" he questioned.

"Heard you last night, talking with a different female," she said. "You seemed interested with her, that's why I didn't really want to talk to you..."

Simon sighed and lowered his ears. "That was a friend of mine. Nothing more....but still...just cause im talking to some girl doesnt mean you should get all defensive. ."

"I know..." she said and looked down, "I don't know what Is getting over me... must be just something from my mother's side..." she spoke and tried to think of something to change the topic.

Simon shrugged, not wanting to bring up her mom, for fear of hitting a sore subject.

Their was a brief silence before she spoke, "So... what's up with you today?" she asked.
