"What is it Hiccup?" Astrid asked. "Uh, there are a few things I need to talk you to bout. See that bookcase over there?"

"Yeah?" Astrid asked

"W'll go over to it and between the two brown books so a yellow book. Grab it and bring it over here."

Astrid got the book and set it on the edge of hiccup's bed.

"This is the book of dragons, it has everything you need to know about the dragons so you can teach agon dracademy."

"Yeah, i know Hiccup, but seriously, what's gonna happen that i dont know how to handle?" Astrid asked Hiccup. "Maybe you should get some slee-" Hiccup cut her off.

"You don't have to worry Astrid. Just trust me." Hiccup looked at Astrid intensely. Se knew that look. "Fine."

Hiccup went on to tell astrid everything he could think of about all of the dragons. "Hiccup, is any of this even in the Book of Dragons?" Astrid interrupted.

"Well, most of it's just instinct, like common sense on how to treat a dragon amd all" hiccup replied. "But sense your first action is always violence, i figured i would just remind you..." He trailed iff at the disbelieving look on astrid's face.
"Even when your sick!" She said incredulously. "Ugh, hiccup, sometimes you are unbelieveable. Just unbelieveable."
"Look, astrid, i dont want anything to go wrong," hiccup said.
Astrid placed her hand on his shoulder. "It wont hiccup. I promise."

The Next Day At Dragon Training...

Hiccup was still in bed, but at the training arena, Astrid was teaching the disobedient teens
"So, does anyone know what the-" She looked at the dragon book to check her answer. "Deadly Nadder's special ability is?" She looked to the twins - "Don't look at us!" They both shouted in unison.

"Oh, come on! We've talked about this for weeks! Do you ever pay attention?" How does Hiccup have the patience for them? Astrid thought. She looked around the group. "Any ideas?" She asked. "Besides Fishlegs?" The group collectively looked at their feet.

"Oh, oh oh!" Snotlout shouted. "I know the answer!" "Yes Snotlout?" Astrid asked. "The answer is a lightning bolt!" "No you dumb butt! It's a spine shoot!"

"Umm, excuse me?" Came a voice by the entrance gate. The group turned to find Nova, accompanied like always by one of her Terrors, perched on her shoulder.

"Oh, hey Novie! What's up!?" Asked Astrid.

okay, where'd 'Novie' come from, we've never exactly been friends? Nova thought. "Uh, yeah, hi," she said out loud. "Not to interrupt your moron meeting, but Toothless needs some exercise, since I'm taking care if him, and well, i need help keeping him aloft."
