So after they had all gotten back in the car they had continued there drive to the cliffs which where only about twenty minutes away. they where there in no time.

As they rolled up to the cliff, Sydney began to bite her nails. It was a cloudy day, and the black water clashed against the rocks. A few people were there, a ready jumping of te large drop and shouting with pleasure. Maddy smashe her face against the window, excited, while Sin remained indifferent.


Sydney itched her palms, her eyes afraid. The blond was terrified of heights.

Scotty and Marty where already out, like dogs freed from the house into the yard.

"Wait up you two!" Katie scolded, looking over at Sydney and smiling gently. Knowing she had always been scared of heights. "C'mon Syd, It'll be fun." she assured.

Maddy was out with Scotty ad Marty, Sin indifferently standing off to the side. She shuffled towards the edge, looking down at the crashing black water. Sin grunted and pulled her bal by the collar of her shirt.

"Don't do that." he scolded.

Sydney nodded, reluctantly getting out of the car and refusing to even get near the edge.

"Alright... let's go!" Marty stripped of his shirt, but before he could run to the edge, Scotty stopped him, by grabbing him by the beltloops.

Sydney whimpered a bit, staying in place. Sin was holding Maddy back as well, the young girl yowling or him to let her go.

"Guys, safety. There's a trail from the water right over there," she pointed at a collection of trees along the bank. "swim over to it and fallow the trail back to the car." she said.

"you should come in, Syd." Sin said.

"n-no." she sputtered, clenching her firsts and turning white at the thought.

Marty was pulling like a dog on his leash until he heard that Sydney wasn't jumping. He stopped and looked over at her curiously.

Once everyone had gone to the ledge Marty walked over to Syd. "You're not jumping?" he asked curiously.

"I don't like heights." she muttered. "it's a huge fear of mine." she tried to explain. Maddy lead Sin over to the edge and suddenly pushed him with All of her might. But the clever boy grabbed her sleeve and pulled her in with him. They frees fell for a good 3 seconds before hitting the water.

Sydney shivered as they went of the ledge, looking at the ground.

Marty watched, as Scotty ran and did a back flip off the ledge and down into the water.

Katie laughed and followed with a cannonball.

Marty looked over at Sydney "Really? But you seemed so excited about it in the car."

"Yeah, I guess so. I-I mean, I think I'd be ok if someone jumped with me. But... I dunno." Sydney muttered.

Marty rocked on his heels, scratching his shoulder "We'll, I don't mind jumping off with you." he replied with a smile.

Sydney looked up at him, smiling timidly.

"Really?" she said, taken aback, "Youd do that?" she said.

He smiled and nodded happily "Yeah, it'll be fun!" he replied.

Sydney leaned off of the car and grabbed Marty's hand, shuffling towards the edge of the cliff. She timidly looked over the edge, then paled and doubled back into Marty, squeezing his hand tightly.

"I dunno If I can do this." she stuttered.

Marty smiled gently and covered her eyes with his free hand. "You're not allowed to look." he said playfully with a chuckle.
