Max turned the car, pulling up to the restaurant. He smiled and parked the truck and hopped out of the truck, he went around to let her out, then figured that it was sort of out of style to do that, but he opened the door anyway and gave a playful bow. "Ma' dam, your dinner awaits." he joked and grinned up at her.

Adam ~
After he finished, around the same time the other guys did he looked at them. Tossing them drinks. He sat back on the couch and talked about maybe he would go back into the marines again for a few more years. The guys said they were going in again for the 2 years term and Adam said he might go again. He looked at the kids and smiled at them. Haley chimed in with her adorable voice, asking Adam why he wanted to leave them. Adam and the men chuckled. Haley I don't want to leave you or Mason on 'purpose'. But I do want to get my job back. He said and smiled at her. He always loved the thrill of being almost dead and then a miracle happens. Adam loved the feeling of being a survior.

Villina understood, but she could never deal with violence, she had a soft heart and deep emotions. Every time a man died in a movie, she would flinch and look away, feeling the bullet of knife penetrating her skin. She always told herself 'it's just a movie.' but it never worked. She nodded and smiled at the kids.

Adam ~
I just hope I don't have to rescue you guys again. That was torture. He said and laughed. All the guys around him laughed and it made Haley and Mason giggle. Adam smiled at the kids again as they cuddled up under his arms again. All the guys pulled out there phones and took pictures. Wow. Adam grinned and put his arms around them.

Kristi sat on the sidelines and smiled sadly, watching, she honestly didn't feel that she fit in with this group. She sat back and watched the kids giggle and the men laugh. She sat quietly, not quite sure what to do, she had adopted to kids to love her and keep her company, but it almost seemed that their loyalty and feelings lay elsewhere.

Adam ~
He looked at his clock that ticked by slowly. Wow. It's only half past 8? It's dark outside. He said and pulled back the curtains a little bit. It was getting a little bit darker. The guys were agreeing and Jake was the one who was actually staring at Villina. He looked at Adam then at the kids. He grinned and sat back. Adam couldn't tell that Villina was sad but he could tell the guys were getting ready to go home. Adam smiled and shook their hands as they left out of his big house. Adam smiled at Villina. Motioning her to come closer, if she wanted to.

Villina stood and walked over and sat next to him, she pulled Haley into her lap. "Want me to braid your hair?" she asked. She grinned and kept her eyes on the TV for a few minutes, animal planet was on and they were talking about dog breeds and their characteristics. She smiled as the pit bull came on.

Haley ~
Uh, okay! She said and she smiled. She waited for her mother to begin to braid and then asked the question. Mommy, when are you and Adam going to be partners and make little ones like us? She asked, Adam's eyes widened and he coughed. Some of the soda went down the wrong pipe. Mason patted Adam on the back and Adam smiled, finally he stopped coughing.

Villina paused in braiding, she cleared her throat and glanced at Adam. "I don't know baby girl." she said and continued braiding, she smiled and avoided Adam's eyes. She returned her gaze to the TV and braided Hailey's hair. She finished braiding one strand and started another.

Adam ~
Haley, honey, I think that only happens when two people are together. He said and looked at Mason. Mason was nodding off slightly and was still under Adam's arm. Mason took the blanket off the chair and wrapped up in it. Getting back up under Adam's arm. Adam smiled and held Mason.

Haley ~
But aren't you both together? She asked, looking from her mother to Adam. She was confused and then she asked Elmo the same question. She giggled and kissed her beloved doll on the nose, hugging it tightly to her chest. She loved Elmo!

Villina shook her head, "Well, it takes time for two adults to come together, we date and then we sometimes get married, but it usually takes quite a while because we want to make sure the relationship... er... partnership will work out, or we separate and it's hard." she said.

Haley ~
Can't you just make little ones like us and then you gotta be married, right? She said, she reached over and grabbed Adam's hand. She was so little and she didn't know any better. Come on you guys... You gotta go make little ones so you'll be married. She said, she wasn't trying to make anyone laugh but Adam chuckled shaking his head and saying, 'Thats not how it works honey.' Haley slumped down.

Villina smiled sadly, "Yeah, I'm afraid that's not quite how it works." she said laughing softly. She continued to braid her hair and silently watch the show on TV. This topic was making her blush and she was grateful for the darkness of the room of she would have probably blushed more.

Haley ~
Mommy, you need to marry him. He's a good daddy. Don't let him go! She said, Adam was to deep in thought to really understand what she was saying. He looked at the door that led to the hallway and just stared at it for a while. He couldn't help but think of what the noise outside was. He pulled the curtain back a little bit and peered outside, to dark to see anything. He saw some girl walking up and down his driveway, calling his name. Haley looked at the lady. Who is that? Adam shrugged, even he didn't know.

Villina walked to the window and looked outside, she walked back to the couch. She glanced at Adam, not bothering to ask the question again, she wondered who the girl was, she walked back over towards him and looked out the window again and watched her approach. She couldn't help but be suspicious.
