Kisasi followed her at a distance to make sure he had some time alone. Did she want him with her? He questioned himself. He saw her pad under a tree with a sheltered part behind the hanging cover of leaves. He stopped outside of the tree and stood there wondering if he should go in and comfort her or let her be by herself for a while.

Kisasi finally made up his mind to go with her. He pushed his way through the curtain of hanging leaves and looked down at Hatima. Her eyes were closed so he assumed that she was sleeping. He laid down behind her and curled his body around her, trying to comfort her. He didn't know what she was feeling, but he hoped he could help her in some way.

Kisasi woke a few hours later to coldness all around him. It was getting late and the sun was starting to set. Where is Hatima? He thought, slightly panicking. He opened his mouth to try and picked up her scent. He did, but it wasn't that fresh. It smelled like she had left hours ago. Where would she go? What if she is in trouble? Kisasi though, panicking even more. He bolted out from under the tree. He looked around, and not seeing Hatima, he ran off to follow the stale scent trail she had left.
(Haha well figure it out!! JK XD)

Kisasi continued to run. He had to find Hatima. Why had she left anyway? He kept asking himself. Had he done something wrong? As he ran, Hatima's scent got a little stronger like he was getting closer to her.

Kisasi heard Hatima's cry and bolted towards the sound. He crashed through the bushes to see a rogue attacking his mate. He launched himself at the rogue and knocked him off of Hatima. He realized that he was bigger than the other lion, giving him the upper hand in the fight. He clawed at the rogue's face and body until the strange lion turned tail and fled. Kisasi stood in the middle of the clearing, breathing heavily. He looked over to see Hatima injured on the ground and barely moving. He ran over to her. "Hatima, say something, please." He licked her wounds clean and was glad to see that they weren't very deep. Then why isn't she moving? He thought. He started licking her face all over, trying to wake her up.

"Hatima, please I need you. Please don't leave me, I love you. You need to stay alive." Kisasi wouldn't give up. He continued to lick Hatima.

Kisasi would not let this happen. He grabbed Hatima by the scruff and somehow got her onto his back. "Please hold on Hatima." He said, even though he knew she couldn't hear him. He ran all the way back to the pride and by the time he got there, night was setting in. He finally made it back to the pride. "Somebody please help me!" He yowled, bringing the attention of the whole pride. "She's injured! Please! Help me!" He said before sinking to the ground and blacking out himself from exhaustion.

Kisasi opened his eyes to light streaming into the cave. He was momentarily blinded, but once he got used to the light, he gazed around. How did I get back to the pride? He thought. Then all the memories from the day before came back. "Hatima!" He yelled spinning around and seeing her lying down. He started to run towards her, but was blocked by another lion. "Let me through!" He said frantic.
"Kisasi calm down. She's fine. She is just sleeping. She wouldn't have survived without you though. You got here back here just in time."
Kisasi looked up to see his friend Siri standing in front of him. "Are you sure?" Kisasi asked, uncertainty and desperation flashing in his eyes.
"Yes of course I am." Siri replied. "Come outside and have some food with me, let Hatima have her rest. She will wake up when she is ready."
(Instead of saying "the pride" i'm gonna say the camp from now on cause i don't know what else to call their home XD)
