OOC: Oh, sorry. I can, but I was two of the people Kodi's talked to. Or would it be easier if I was him?

Dusty rubbed her head. "Don't worry, I'll come with you, I won't let him hurt you," she said, something she could definitly carry out thanks to Sakak and Belladonna.

Shenkin gave a disappointed sight. "Oh well, I tried to do things the nice way," he muttered, looking up at her. "I can see it in your eyes, you still love him, don't you?" he asked, looking her right in the eyes. "You WANT him back, don't you?"

Kodi chuckled wryly, still nervous. "Alright." he says, walking over. Ralpha had already noticed. Though he didn't know much, he only knew Dusty had been extremely hurt. So, he was naturally surprised to see her with him.

Katie blinked as he looked her straight in the eye. She lower jaw wobbled a minute, her hackles raising. "... Yes!" she said, close her eyes. "I-I want him to be back. I miss him, my children miss him. I love him, no matter how senseless and terrible he can be! I want us to be family again and I want things to be the way they were." she opened her eyes and looked at him dead in the eyes.

"Ralph, Kodi has something to say, please listen," said Dusty, calmly.

Lena and Cachen both smiled at what their mother just said.

Shenkin started chuckling before bursting out laughing.

Kodi gulped, looking relieved when Ralph agreed to listen.

"I'll listen, for you." He said.

Kodi sighed. "I've said this a couple of times. I've messed up. I didn't want to hurt anybody. If I could change things I could. I just hope you know i'm being sincere."

Ralph looked to Dusty for confirmation.

Katie blinked, giving a glare. "And what is so funny about that?" she asked, her voice getting hard.

"He means it, TRUST ME, he means it," said Dusty, giving Ralph a serious look. "Would I be with him right now if I wasn't sure?"

Shenkin got a rather unhinged smirk. "Because you think you have a choice!"

"So my little dove

But I won't allow you to keep us apart!" sung Shenkin, very calmly and classily as he got in her face, almost like a waltz.

That way you'll have nothing to fear!
But there's a price to pay if you say no! " sung Shenkin, backing her up against a tree with an unhinged smirk.

OOC: The song is entitled "My Little Dove", just so you know. Katie doesn't HAVE to sing, but she can.

Ralph looked to Dusty. She had a point. He turned to Kodi, still unsure. "Alright. But it's gonna take a while to get me to trust you again."

Kodi chuckled dryly again, looking ashamed. "You don't know how many times I've heard that today. And I'm probably gonna hear it more."

"Definitely. You need to talk to Kirby, he's still steamed at ya."

Katie gasped as he sang, becoming more and more confused and scared the longer she listened. She would be led about in his odd little waltz, trying to get away. She fell upon her tail, sitting almost human like with her back legs out. She looked straight at Shenkin, and shook her head. Katie closed her eyes. "NO!"

"We're headed to find him next," said Dusty, nuzzling Ralph. "Thanks... And trust me, me and Fang aren't trusting him for awhile either, but this is a start."

Shenkin put his paw over her mouth and shushed her.

"My little dove, listen to me now
Because this is your only warning, my sweet!
Trust me, it's wiser if you bow.
Because I refuse to taste defeat!
Don't be a fool, Katie my love!
I will make sure to have my way!

Or today is someone's last day!" sung Shenkin, pulling her back to her paws and spinning her around, hind end first onto a snow bank.

Feel sorry for poor Katie, her best friend suddenly betrays her and tells her to be his mate or die...

"All I want is a start." Kodi said. "Now, let's find Kirby..." he gulped again.

Katie blinked in shock as he shushed her. Each note made 'er that more nervous. Turquoise eyes widened as she brought back to her paws, and twirled, before being dumped onto a snow bank. She cried out, staring up at Shenkin. "Last day? What?!" she asked, struggling to sit up.

"Any idea where we can find him, Ralph?" asked Dusty, looking to her friend.

Today is someone's dying day.

That you can be sure of!" sung Shenkin, once more picking her up and spinning her around.

I promise, this isn't a lie!
So I suggest that you bow!" sung Shenkin, literally manhandling her into bowing by pressing his paw on her back and driving her face into the snow.

OOC: I hope I having derailed Shenkin too far from your original intent for him though.

Ralph looked around. "Hes gotta be around. Maybe he's at the post office?" he asked.

Kodi nodded. "Its worth a shot."

Katie gasped. It was all so much, so fast. Her face was the picture of shock and horror. If she said no, he'd kill Kodi, and then she would be next! If she said yes... She'd never be with Kodi again, and she would be miserable. She grunted as her body planted itself into the snow. She struggled, and glared up at Shenkin. She writhed about wildly, her hackles raised.


OOC: No, I never even though of taking him in this obsessive direction actually.

Fang nodded. "Alright, let's go," he said, leading the way."

Shenkin lowered his head next to Katie's. "So it's simple then, be my mate, or your precious mate dies, and so will you, leaving your sweet little pups orphans. When your mate comes, tell him you're not interested, that you've found a new mate," he stated, smirking in an unhinged manner. "Oh, and if you tell your in-laws or anyone else and the dog dies. Got it, my little dove?"

Cachen had tears streaming down his face and looked about ready to burst into crying.

"W-we need to find papa, now," said Lena, trying to be strong as she looked to her siblings.

OOC: Yeah, I hope this isn't a problem. He just kind of went that way as I was doing it...

Kodi would follow Fang, Ralph following to see what would happen.

What scared Katie even more than knowing her mate would be dead, was that her children would be left without her. They would always have family, but she didn't want to leave them the way she had been left... She hung her head. "Yes..." she said softly, defeatedly. What choice did she have?

Tai gulped, eyes horrified as she nuzzled Cachen to comfort him.

Kai had to supress a growl. "Lena, me and you will get Papa. Tai, take Cachen to Grandma and Grandpa."

OOC: I like it ^^ he's way more of a villain now.

"Kirby will probably be a tad more vocal, but I think he'll understand," said Dusty, thinking. She looked to Kodi. "Kodi... For what it's worth, it takes a VERY big dog to admit they screwed up like this."

Shenkin chuckled. "Good, good," he said. "Remember, one whisper, one little tiny whisper of what's going on, and your mate dies, then you," he stated. "And don't try to attack me, that little dance wasn't just for show, you and I both know if you could overpower me, you would've by now."

Lena shook her head. "They're too close, he might walk up while we're telling them and overhear," she replied. "We need to tell papa as soon as we can, then try to find the right time to tell grandpa and grandma so that it's safe."

OOC: Glad. And I hope it didn't make Katie look weak, I was trying to make it clear that Shenkin was too strong for her to overpower on her own so this scheme of his works. If she could beat him alone, his plan wouldn't work at all.

Kodi looked to Dusty. "Thanks, Dusty. I'm preparing myself now. I'm sure I won't get off of this easy."

"I get it." Katie replied, in a slightly sharp tone. She looked away, her jaw hard. "Not a word to anyone."

Kai sighed. "And the four of us moving around my cause too much noise." he said. "Two of us should keep watch anyway on this jerk."

Dusty gave a smile. "Yeah, just be glad none of us was so vendictive as to yell it to the whole town."

Shenkin kissed her. "Good, that's a good female," he said, giving a chuckle. "Now, shall we go talk to your EX-in laws?"

Lena sighed. "Yeah, you're right... But in that case, let Tai and Cachen go tell papa, Tai's the fastest."
