"Alright, I've got good news and bad news," said Sakak. "Bad news...I'm not powerful enough to beat the Amarok myself..." he admitted.
Balto was disappointed by that. "Ok...good news?"
"Good news, I brought magical totems that can help beat it," said Sakak, pointing to the box. "Including a dog totem, which will protect its wearer from the Amarok."
"Give it to momma," said Cachen instantly. "She's with puppy after all..."
"Oh, then she doesn't need it," said Sakak, simply. "Spirits are physically incapable of harming a mother with child, even the Amarok can't take a completely innocent life like that of an unborn child. The pups have some protection, though their protection isn't nearly as strong as that of an unborn infant."

Katie couldn't help but feel a warmth in her chest, happy that Cachen had been so insistant. "See, I'll be okay." she said softly.
Tai thought about this, and it seemed Aleu had the sane idea. They said it at the same time.
"Give it to Grandma Jenna." said Tai.
"Give it to Mom." Aleu said at the sane time. Tai let her aunt speak. "If Mom wears it, and the pups stay close, the Anarok can't hurt them, can he?"
OOC: Okay, that was the most selfless thing ever. If this were a movie that would be a really good scene.

OOC: Yeah. You mean Tai and Aleu giving it to Jenna or Cachen giving it to Katie? Both were touching.
"I agree..." said Cachen. "And I love you mom, I just wanted to protect you."
Sakak nodded. "Alright, dear, please give it to her, I can't touch it," he said. "The Dog pendent burns any impure spirit that touches it or its wearer," he explained. "I can't touch it...I still play poker with Red to force him deeper into soul debt. Belladonna can only touch it with her angelic half."

Katie nodded, nuzzling her son. "I will be fine, sweetheart."
Jenna looked surprised, but looked down at her pups. She wanted to protect them. So she accepted the totem after Belladonna solely used her left paw to fish it from the chest. Belladonna draped it around her neck on a chord.
"There," the half angel said. "Youll be protected. And so won't these pups if they stay close."

Lena and Cachen both looked at Kai.

Katie and Kodi and Jenna and it seemed everyone was staring at Kai. He blushed, ears going back.
Belladonna snickered. "Its kind of unanimous, kiddo."
Kai looked down. "Stop staring already, please." he grumbled, looking at the ground.
Katie smiled. "If I may ask, Sakak, what does it matter who's the most impatient?" she asked.

Sakak took a Falcon Totem out of the box and put it around Kai's neck. "That will give you the intelligence and clear judgement to go with that impatiance," he said, Kai would probably already be able to feel some of the effects. "There's something else it does now what was it?" he asked, thinking. "Oh yes, these Totems let their user turn into the animal they represent, didn't have any effect on Jenna cause she's already a dog," he said. "Just concentrait and it should work."

Kai could definitely feel it. It was if clouds were parting in his mind. He could think clearly. He looked surprised. "Wait, what did you just say?" he asked, thinking on Sakak's words. "I can turn into a falcon?" he asked, wondering why he was surprised.

Kai looked down at that totem, a little nervous. But, with a clearer mind, he tried. He closed his eyes, concentrating on the task at hand. He couldn't see what was happening, but all at once his body changed a small burst of white light. Where Kai had been was a falcon, with silvery feathers over white. "...Did it work?"
Tai stared, slack jawed in disbelief.
Blaze giggled, thinking it funny. "Teehee, Kai a birdie!"

Cachen's jaw dropped and he nodded slowly.
"Wow..." said Denali. "...Me next!"
Sakak pulled out a mirror and showed Kai himself. "What do you think? Fitting?"
Lenatei looked up to her mother. "Maybe we should ask to keep the dog one for you," she said, knowing her mother could use the disguse.

Kai opened his eyes, hopping back at the mirror. "Whoa!"
Derbin had come up, pawing at Kai carefully.
Jenna chuckled. "Well, I want to know what other totems are in there, now."
Katie looked surprised, but smiled. "I think that'd be a good idea. But I'm not sure about loaning plans for spirits."

Cachen nodded slowly. "Yeah, I guess you're right."
Sakak pulled a skunk totem out of the box. "Yes, you're a peaceful person normally, so with a touch of bravery this totem would be perfect," he said, putting it around Cachen's neck. "The skunk also helps a lot with self confedience."
Cachen blinked, then felt suddenly less scared, his stance getting more confedient. Well, more like more able to overcome his fears and his stomach got less quesy. "Wow...this feels awesome!" he said. "I don't feel sick anymore!"
