"Yes! I am sure. I will never love another dog. My mother is nuts over my father, like theres no other care in the world! I don't want to be like that." she spat.

The she-dog shook her head and said "So you never want to know love or have pups of your own or die in someone's paws? Why are you so scared for?!!!!"

"I have no fear of love. I just don't want it. I don't want to be a mother. I don't want to be a mate. I don't want to be brushing pelts with anyone but my kin. I want to be me."

The she-dog smiled and asked sympathetically "So you're afraid that if you start loving someone you would lose yourself?"

"No. I mean, well yes. I don't want to change." Temple said.

The she-dog nodded her head and said "No one wants to change, especially my brother. But everyone who has love knows that it may change you but not by much. What love actually does is get rid of all of the bad and bring out all of the good in the creature who has found love. So love actually doesn't change you. If anything it makes who you are stronger than it has ever been, even to the point of you never being able to be CHANGED. Love is a very good thing. You shouldn't fear it. You should welcome it with open arms. That's what your mother would tell you. Trust me. I know. Do you love him but you are scared that he will change you?"

"No. I don't love him." she said, truthfully.

She smiled and said "You will learn the truth in time." She walked away.

"Who are you?" she called after the she-dog.

She yelled back at Temple "I'm David's older half sister." She walked out of the building and out of sight.

Temple stared at the remaints of the she-dog in astonisment.

David was curled up in his kennel surrounded by dogs whom he hated. They called him names and just brought him down as much as they could because they didn't like him due to the fact of his birthright and what he is along with his power. All things that the other dogs didn't like and they now had the chance to do something about it. He felt miserable and thought Why did she attack me? Am I that bad of a wolf? Is everything that these dogs talk about me true?

Back at the junkyard...

Jemimah lazily layed in the dirt.

Destiny came up to her sister and asked "What are you up to Jemimah?"

"Oh, nothing." she said dreamily.
