Sam nodded silently and hurried to the door. She grabbed the handle and jerked it, opening it as slowly as possible so the children banging on it wouldn't fall through. "Please try to keep quiet." she informed the kids before they went in. "He must have a splitting headache." She froze when her eyes fell to Maya, who was, Sam was informed, the one that finally made Seth attempt suicide. Swallowing and biting her tongue, she held the door open to let them file in.

Instead of the scolding Maya longed to give him, she replaced it with a hug. She quickly ran towards him, wrapping her arms aorund his shoulders. Normally, she would've placed them around his neck, but that had just been sliced open, and then stitched together. She could see the smal threads against the pale color of his skin.
"Are you okay?" she asked anxiously, her eyes filled with deep concern and worry. She was overwhelmed by joy at the fact that she hadn't lost him, but was now worried for his comfort.

Seth was overjoyed to be reunited with his sister. The burns from much earlier that day had all but subsided. The only pain he felt now was in his neck, and he could see that Maya was being careful to stay away from it. That he was thankful for as well. He managed a smile and answered, "Yeah, I'm alright." His eyes moved down. If he could see his own neck, he'd be looking at it right now. His smile faded and he sighed slightly. "I'm sorry... I shouldn't have..." he paused, unable to continue. Maya would probably get what he meant.

"No, you shouldn't have," Maya agreed, dipping her head slightly. Despite her joy, she could feel tears brimming, the warmth pricking at her eyes. They finally spilled over, a lone tear streaking down her cheek. "Don't ever do that again," she commanded, her voice thicker than usual from her tears. She sniffed, but didn't reach up to wipe the moisture away. She wanted to embrace him for as long as possible.

Bridget ran over to Seth. "I'm so glad your alright." She sobbed. Tears were already on her face, trickling down her cheeks. She smiled weakly, happy that Seth was still alive.

Seth kept embracing his sister, seeing Bridget walk in. As his other sibling came by his side, Seth felt even happier. "I know I shouldn't have, and I'm sorry for it. But... I'm glad I have such great brothers and sisters." He smiled.

Fletcher was standing gainst the wall, outside the infirmary. He was debating whether or not to go in, thinking to himself, I mean, after everything that happened... would he still want to see me? He frustratedly pushed his thin, black hair out of his face. Words couldn't describe how much he wanted to run inside like everything was fine between them, but that just couldn't happen. Not now.
Harmon was dashing towards the doors to the infirmary when he spotted his older brother, Fletcher, leaning against the wall, looking torn. Approaching him cautiously with his innocent, wide, blue eyes, he asked quietly, "Don't you want to see Seth?" Even though Harmon was already 10 years old, he had the appearance of a 6-year-old.
"Of course I do." Fletcher answered quietly, so no one in the infirmary would hear. "...But," he continued, "I can't. He wouldn't want to see me anyway. It seems like my family hates my guts by now, so I'm not even their brother anymore, anyway."
Harmon's tiny, pale hand reached out and held two of Fletcher's rough fingers, looking up at his older brother, straight in the eye. "You're still my brother, Fletcher." With that, he let his hand slide out of Fletcher's and happily joined the group hug, hugging Seth's waist, since that was about how tall he was.

Seth smiled when his younger brother, Harmon, came to hug his waist. During the group hug, though, he noticed as the door came open, Fletcher was leaning against the wall. He looked, to Seth, as though he were contemplating something with damaging thoughts. Seth tilted his head and wondered why. Was he still mad? The almost 13 year old wondered about it. He decided the only was to find out was to motion a hand. He brought out one of his pale hands and moved it back and forth: a clear signal to Fletcher that Seth wanted him apart of the group hug. Along with the motion, the blond haired boy's eyes seemed to be pleading. As if to say C'mon! Didn't we make up already? But it wasn't mad or angry. It was more of a joking look, accompanied with an even bigger smile.

The wave of a snow-white hand caught Fletcher's eye. Great, he thought, He probably thinks I'm mad at him still. Fletcher was only looking out for his family, but when he confronted Seth about what he'd done... maybe he'd gone too far? Was Seth really asking him to come in and join the family again? A grin tugged at Fletcher's mouth as he unfolded his arms and slowly entered the infirmary, his hands connected behind his back. As he made his walk to the group hug, his eyes were staring at his feet, looking sheepish.
Harmon's little face was buried in Seth's shirt when e heard the faint footsteps of his older brother uncertainly walking towards the group. Harmon turned his blonde head to him and smiled, his bright blue eyes smiling too.

Seth looked at Fletcher with an apologetic expression. He leaned forward, in an effort to bring him into the group hug. His smile said exactly what he felt, but he thought he needed to convey it into words too. "Fletcher... in case you didn't hear me earlier..." he puffed out a breath, as if nervous to say, as if he were afraid his brother would never forgive him. "I'm sorry. You were right." He would have said more, but at a certain point, he felt he didn't need to for his brother to get what he meant. Seth gave him one more apologetic smile, before pulling him into the hug.
