Miki growled, knowing she didn't have much time until there wasn't enough air to breath. "I won't let you hurt my friends and get away with it!" she yelled and began to glow white, changing in shape until the form of a much heavier Lucario was hanging from the Latios' neck. She then used Low Kick, hiting the Latios right in the groin with it.

No! D: I've just been really busy with school work, and since it's college stuff it calls for more studying and junk. I'm sorry to keep everyone waiting DX But I finally found the time to post Oh, and I'm changing Thomas's name to Conan~



His heart was racing and his body tingled with the very pulsing of his veins. Conan wasn't about to let this corrupt Pokemon take Kyrene, for whatever reason. The Lugia wasn't sure why a solo legendary would want to steal the young nurse, but the fact that Team Dark Night had a stash of legendaries they infected with the virus made it quite obvious as to why the Rayquaza tried so despirately to escape with her. 'I can't let it get away...' Conan told himself, feeling a hint of guilt. He thought that somehow this was his fault.

Suddenly the Rayquaza began to churn in a tight circle, its markings swiftly changing into a fiery orange. During this process, sparks of electricity began radiating from the legendary's body before it was hurled in the Lugia's direction. Conan dodged the Thunderbolt attack with ease and flapped his wings to bring himself closer to Kyrene.

Again the dark Rayquaza attempted to evade the Lugia's persuit, dive-boming to gain speed for an easier get away. Conan mimicked the tactic, swiftly coming up to his opponent's tail. Once again he tried to grab hold of the nurse's clothing, but when the Rayquaza shanged course abruptly, revealing the damaged gym building, Conan felt a jolt of guilt, which instantly bubbled into rage. The Lugia growled before bolting towards his target, his face screwed up with a snarl. When he managed to catch up to Kyrene, still sectured tightly in the dark pokemon's tail, Conan, again, attempt to reach for her, almost completely losing his concentration on keeping out of reach of any attacks the Rayquaza may throw at him. It wasn't until the young nurse spoke that knocked Conan back into concentrating not only on her but his enemy.

"Lugia!! The vial of antidote!! I dropped it back at the gym!! You have to go and get it!!"

His dark aburn eyes rest upon the girl's frail figure before he noded, but when the dark legendary suddenly changed course a second time, instinct drove the Lugia to follow. His eyes widened with horror when Kyrene was flung higher into the air before falling back into the Rayquaza's clutches. Conan let out a sigh of relief that his opponent hadn't purpously missed in catching her, although he was still disappointed that it was his oppnent whom had, in fact, saved her. In that instant, the Rayquaza had brought his tail slashing towards the Lugia. thinking quickly he opened his powerful jaws and bit down when he thought he chould, and when he caught a howl of pain screeching from ahead he knew that he had been successful. But his joy of having bitten the currupt Pokemon ended swiftly when his enemy's stripes melted in a flash of red.

Conan growled menacingly when the Rayquaza coiled its body around him, constricting his wings alongside his torso. His jaws still had a secure grip on the other's tail, gradually adding pressure as he was being constricted. However, it wasn't until he felt an enourmous change in the pressure around them did he realize that he was trapped. He was helpless to escape the intensifying jolts of electricity that generated around the Rayquaza's body and migrated down onto the Lugia. Instantly his grip around his enemy's tail was released as he roared in agony, the large amount of electricity doing its job in weakening him. Conan had almost lost full conciousness before the Rayquaza flung him in a vertical angle, plumeting towards the earth with the inability to take flight. He was severely wounded, and obviously paralyzed. It didn't end there; however, the dark legendary released a final attack to finishi him off, and a shimmering beam of ice trailed shortly after Conan as he fell.

The Lugia looked up at the disappearing Rayquaza with anguish in his narrowed eyes. He had failed. He attempt to look upon the young nurse, his eyes filled with such emotion it could not be distinguished in a single category. 'I'm sorry...Kyrene...' He whispered before his narrowed eyes fully shut. It was then when the Ice Beam had made contact with his limp body, giving him enough boost to send him the remainder of the journey towards the ground.

It was as if time itself has slowed nearly to a stop when the Lugia amde a head-on collision with the earth. The force of the fall created a deep crater in the hard ground, sending large fragments of earth and dirt into the air around the crash site. there was no question as to if Conan had fainted, he was laying at the bottom of the ditch like a lifeless corpse. He needed medical attention, and fast.

"Let..me..go.."

The Swellow in the dark Latios's grip managed to utter before its wings began to glow a piercing white. She was about to use Wing Attack, but no matter how hard she tried in loosening his grip around her body, Mello refused to let go. After little struggle, the bird willingly gave up, allowing the corrupt legendary to tighen his grip yet again.

His bright red eyes watched threateningly as the Rilou readied for another type of threat. She thrust a Brick Break onto one of Mello's temple, which caused him to jerk violently with the force of the attack. He roared through clenched jaws, making it sound all the more menacing. It wasn't until the little Pokemon continued to hit him in different places did he purpously release his prey and reach back in an attempt to bite the Rilou. But as he did, he was met with a surprised Headbutt. His posture had remained the way it had been when he had reached back to counter attack, but his nose pulsed from the collision of the attack. It had no major affect on him, only making him more angry.

Once again he readied to attack with Dragon breath, his throat extending to allow an intense force of blue fire to surface through his mouth and at his victim. He was too preoccupied to notice that the Swellow had regained enough conciousness to take flight and attempt to take revenge. When he noticed movement from above, seeing it from the very corner of his right eye, Mello swiftly changed position and directed the Dragon Breath towards the persuing Swellow. The bird was quick to dodge and was quickly coming towards him.

"I won't let you hurt my friends and get away with it!"

Mello growled as the Rilou began to glow a bright white. He knew what was happening; the Rilou was evolving. He took the advantage of manipulating the Rilou, or better yet, Lucario, while in the process of evolving before she could attack him agian. His jaws aimed for the Lucario's arms that clung to his neck and easily grabbed hold of them in a tight grip. He grunted when a wave of pain surged through his body from the Low Kick inflicted by his attacker, but it hadn't done enough damage to release his grip. When the Swellow was almost close enough to make contact upon his back, Mello forcefully flung the Lucario in the line of the Aerial Ace. It would most defenetly hit the Lucario instead of himself, since the gap between the Swellow and the dark Latios was too small to make a successful dodge. Plus there was no way the Lucario could leap out of the way since she was incapable of flight.

Knowing he had made his point, Mello shot in the direction the Rayquaza had taken. He had seen that the Latias had followed while he had the Swellow in his clutches, and thinking quickly he concealed his appearance, allowing his body to become invisible to the naked eye, and gradually caught up with the other dark legendary, who was being attacked by the Latias. Again a feeling of connection triggered something within his mind, and Mello had to shake his head to clear his thoughts. Why did this happen every time he saw the Latias? The answer was unclear and it only angered the Latios more whenever he tried despirately to understand his feelings. It didn't take long before he was battling himself high in the air, feeling undescribable waves of pain that surged through his entire body and caused him to fall into a snarling fit of rage.

The battle had raged outside Gardenia's gym, and the distraught leader was calmly stroking the shell of her exhausted Torterra, with Kyrene's Flygon close nearby. Its coloration had returned to normal, but it remained fainted, the slight heaving of its body moving up and down. She didn't know much about was going on, but frankly, she didn't really care. All she wanted was for the people who did this to pay for what they'd done. Gardenia had only just seen Kyrene being hauled away by the dark Rayquaza, and much had entered the young leader's mind since then; healing all the infected Pokémon, rescuing Kyrene, and taking this up with whoever was behind this all. Unfortunately, Gardenia was bound to her post as a gym leader. As much as she wanted to go with the others, she had a responsibility to uphold. She'd get to rebuilding the gym eventually...




Razza flew far away from the battle scene. Far enough for his human captive to be impossible to track down. Over a vast sea, he passed over, gliding well into the ozone and back down again, before hovering over a large field. He deposited the young nurse there in a rough toss. She flopped to the ground limply, and Razza examined her with a slight cock of his head. Obviously, she posed no significant threat. And it was only after she was in his clutches did Razza begin to question the necessity of her presence. He thought to leave her, but when she stirred slightly, Razza coiled his body around and cranned his neck over to examine her closer. The color of his stripes were hinted with leftover crimson after his run-in with the Lugia, but also had a tinge of bright orange. He knew that headquarters would be interested to have her, but held off as long as he could. Exactly why, Razza had yet to figure out...

Now that Razza and Kyrene were a safe distance away from the others, there would finally be no more distractions. The dark Rayquaza's eyes were fixed on the young nurse as she stirred back to life.

When Kyrene opened her eyes, Razza was still glaring at her. So she screamed. Loudly. Razza squinted its eyes shut, and holding its small arms to the side of its head, roared out as loud as it could at her face, quickly drowning her out. While Kyrene tried clumsily to scoot away from it, Razza only glided closer, ever scrutinizing her every detail. It uttered out a deep growl at her, and when the nurse's fear solidified into petrification, she curled up in a tight ball, wrapping her arms around her knees and trying to become as small as possible.

Razza quite enjoyed it. It was almost funny how scared she was. And these feelings radiated out when his stripes turned a flashing shade of yellow. The bright colors made the nurse look up at it, though she was still very much at a loss of what to say. In a brief hiatus of awkward silence, the two stared at each other. Razza felt another spontaneous impulse to leave her; she obviously wasn't as interesting this time than when they'd first met. But just as he was about to desert her, she spoke up.

"What do you want?" Kyrene said at Rayquaza. "Why have you brought me here? And why did you attack my friends?"

Razza was drifting a good distance over her, idly. He put off answering her questions for as long as possible before he finally spoke. "I might've thought there was something special about you... but as of now, I'm turning over the possibility that I may have been mistaken." Its voice was, as the only word suitable to describe it, windy. Though Razza was a male, it sounded neither masculine nor feminine; his words blended together like gusts, creating a uniform sound that seemed to echo all around her.

Kyrene didn't want to dwell on what the Rayquaza might do if she wasn't what he expected her to be. So she asked, "What was so special about me?"

"I don't know," he simply replied. He sounded a little annoyed.

Kyrene decided it best to ask her questions one at a time. "Why did you attack my friends?"

"They're more of a nuisance than anything," Razza snorted down at her condescendingly. "Always getting in the way. I find it pathetic how they stick around you as a way of showing how empty and worthless their lives really are."

Kyrene had something to say to that, but she thought it best to hold her comment on the matter and ask instead, "Are you infected with that Pokérus?"

"Yes."

"How?"

"How do you think!" Razza snapped. He stopped gliding around and drifted around once once more to hover right in front of her, for it is said that a Rayquaza never touches the ground. "I was captured like all the other legendaries. Infected, then 'released' back to act as their spy."

"Who are 'they?'"

Razza only growled for an answer, his stripes turning a vivid shade of dark purple.

"I can help you, you know. The serum I left--"

Before she could finish, however, Razza snorted again. "Your serums..."

"It's true!" kyrene said, finding a small measure of courage in her anger at Razza not believing her. She stood up and faced the Pokémon, though on slightly shaky legs. "There are Pokémon that are immune to it, but uncommons can't pass on their immunity to others. Only a legendary's essence is potent enough to derive a cure. And only legendaries are strong enough to cure other infected legendaries, such as yourself."

"Obviously not," Razza chuckled. "You remember what I did to your Lugia friend?"

Kyrene shuddered. She was passed out for that, but didn't want to dwell on the matter too deeply.

Just then, Razza clamped its jaws tightly and growled ferociously, squinting its eyes shut as it twirled around in a tightly coiled ball. Its stripes turned a flickering light of red and yellow. Kyrene was about to ask what was wrong when she caught sight of the end of Razza's tail. It looked severely broken.

"You're hurt," she said.

"Observant. Did they teach you that in nursing school as well?"

"Let me help you."

"I can't."

"Why not?"

"It's not that simple!!" Razza roared, uncurling himself and bellowing up at the sky. "You and me... we're not on the same side!!"

"We don't have to be," she said. "And who's side are YOU on?"

"MINE!!" roared Razza. But then he withdrew, head cocked off to the side to avoid her gaze. "Or... theirs. Or... to however extent I can hold off their will. I don't know."

"Tell you what," Kyrene said. "You can go on hating me. At least just see how bad it is."

Razza considered her request from every possible angle. Then with a defeated sigh, he uncurled the rest of his body and extended out his tail to her. His stripes turned a warm glow of light blue, and for once, Razza wished it didn't show...
