"Stunky and Houndour beat me up earlier." said Martha. "I ended up having to come here but Glameow is in far worse shape than me, she came to apologize to me for the other two, guess they didn't like that very much."
Magnazone nodded. "Yes, I see." he said. "I've gotten complants from about those three as before, though nothing this severe and Glameow normally tried to keep the other two in line." he said. "Her mother...she wanted Glameow to be a star like she was but the stress was too much so Glameow tried to become a leader of a Rescue Team but ended up with the wrong crowd." he said. "Her mother thinks she's a failure, Purugly wouldn't even come here to see her daughter in the ER." he said.

Cody said "Then that Purugly is as bad as the three that beat Glameow up but it is far worse. Poor Glameow. That Purugly doesn't deserve to have Glameow as a daughter."

When they walked into the room, Glameow was bandaged around her ribs, the top of her head was bandaged as well and both her eyes were blacked, she looked like she was in a good deal of pain. "Glameow...are you ok?"
Glameow looked up at them. "...Hey guys." she said, clearly feeling miserable, both emotionally and physically, she'd been betrayed by her friends, it was a horrible feeling.

Cody said slowly "Hello." Cody then said caringly and lovingly "If you feel emotionally drained about them beating you up then stop. You were not betrayed by your friends, you were betrayed by dangerous criminals. They were never your friends, they were just people you hanged out with. Martha and I care about you. We are your friends. I have a important question to ask you. Do you want to join our team?" Then Cody reached out a hand and held Glameow's caringly.

Glameow was speechless. "Y-you mean that after what I did, the things I have done...you want me to join your team?" she asked, tears of joy in her eyes. "No one...was ever this nice...not even my parents." she said, obviously deeply troubled by thoughts of her parents.
"Do you want to get that off your chest?" asked Martha. "We're willing to listin and it might make you feel better." she said, looking to Cody for him to reassure the cat Pokemon.

Glameow nodded. "My...my mother was a great star but when she evolved, they forgot her." she said. "Mom was really bitter because of it and she took that out on me." she said. "She wanted me to succeed, she forced me to carry an Everstone so I couldn't evolve." she said. "She wanted me to be a star...I'll admit it, that made me very vain...I'll work on that...anyway, I was in a few plays but the stress was too much, I couldn't take it." she said, starting to cry. "Mom called me...a no good failure when I said I didn't want to be an actress like her...so I wanted to become a Rescue Team leader...but because of my father, only those cons would take me." she said, crying harder but it was the kind of crying that relieved all the built up stress that entered her body over the years.

Cody seen how much she was hurt by this and he hugged her for a long time and while he did so he said lovingly "You are not a failure. You just don't want to be that. And that is perfectly okay because it is not you. I think you should stop carrying that no good Everstone around with you. If you let it go then that should help a lot. Give it to me, let it go." Cody then reached out his hand caringly and slowly. He then waited patiently to be given the Everstone when Glameow was ready.

Glameow looked at her Everstone. She threw it in the trash instead of handing it to him. "Sorry...I just wanted to do that myself..." she said. "And it really felt good." she smiled.
"...What about your father?" asked Martha, wanting her to let that go too.
Glameow nodded. "He was a Persian." she said. "...He was also a glambler." she said. "We never had any money because of him..." she said. "He got too far in debt." she said. "Too make up the money...he stole it...and ended up killing someone." she said. "He got life in prison...because of that, no one would trust me except for the criminals I was with." she said, crying again. "I haven't seen him since I was a kitten." she said. "And the last time he saw me..." she said, standing up with a groan due to her hurt ribs and showing a jagged scar down her chest and stomach.

Martha grimioused and hugged her. "I'm sorry." she said. "You didn't deserve that to happen to you." she said. "We could get our friend Vepsiquen to see if she could heal you."
"You'd do that to me?" asked Glameow, now with tears of joy in her eyes.

"She's at the gift shop." said Typlosion, Pokemon Centers had gift shops so those visiting patiants could buy flowers and such for the one they're visiting. "She didn't have anything to do so she's enjoying the flowers." she said, that made since for a bee Pokemon.
