Balto heard his name being called and howled back, " I'm coming!" He dashed into where his brother was and asked, " What happened?" He noticed the fire surrounding them. He took Maura off his brothers back and said, " Come on! We have to get out of here!"

Taka started to run then stopped abruptly "im going back" he caught the disbelieving sound from Balto "look we lef steele back there and he saved my and maurs lives im not leaving him to die" with that he tunneled back into the firey clearing

He got in front of him, "No Taka. I will." He then ran in to find Steele and put him on his back and carried him out.

Maura looked up weakly. "Thankyou..." She said to whoever was carrying her; she couldn't tell. She wasn't strong enough to see, and the smoke around them didn't help her.

Balto ran out of the woods and put Steele down. He heard Maura speak to him, "Your welcome." He then brought Taka over to them.

Taka snarled at balto "you always have to play the hero don't you, you know what balto im sick of you being on my every move you cant leave well enough alone can you." he growled at his brother he was furious "you cant stay put either,in fact i dont even know why you up here and steele move one more inch and I might brake your neck"
Steele stopped walking and turned round to face Taka "well since you and your brother were having a nice little chat i thought id get out of here" steele snapped and was off befroe any of the others could stop him leaving taka in a foul mood.

Balto snarled back, " I'm only trying to help out! If you really don't want my help, and don't want me around that badly, then so be it. I'm gone!" He then bolted out of Taka's sight and into Nome. He then ended up on the beach of Nome. He then found an empty boat and a blue blanket. He then howled in anger letting everyone know that he didn't want to be disturbed or touched.

"I've always known what it's felt like Steele." He rolled over to where he was on top of Steele and he almost felt like killing him at the moment, " Can't you see that I want to be left alone and not have a burden on my back right at the moment!" He then picked Steele up by the scruff and threw him out of his boat.

Steele walked into Nome muttering threats to thin air "Hey Steele where you bin?" yelled a dog Steele ignored him,imping he walked into his house and lay on the floor "stupid wolf dog" he muttered

Balto didn't really like all this ma hem and chaos that was happening. He then howled saying, " Taka! I'm so sorry! Will you forgive me?!" 'I just wish mother was here.' He thought to himself. "Then maybe none of this would happen." He said out loud.

Taka heard his brothers howl and ignored it "not gonna happen bingo" he whispered.Takas mood hadnt lightened and he was still furious,more at the world than balto,the thing was he could take it out on balto and he couldn't take it out on the world he then pulled himself together and howled back go on then he laughed and lay down again,smiling.

Steele had decided hewasnt gong to stand for this he waked up to balto glaring "how many times do I have to tell you to SHUT UP" he growled he surveyed Balto with cold bue eyes "you know,I dont think you have the guts to fight me like your brother did" Steele sneered waiting to see if Balto would take up Steeles challenge.
