Katie sighed as she slowed to a stop. She avoided looking at Dev. "I don't know what you want me to do," she said. "I can't pretend to enjoy life on the see because I already love it. I always have. But I don;t enjoy the life of a pirate."

Dev clenched his fists tighter and rooted his feet to that same spot, not moving. He stared at his feet, his eyes narrowing, finally he looked up at Katie but didn't say anything. He had tried his best and he hoped James would be okay with that. He turned around and walked back to James cabin, knocking on the door quietly.

Katie turned around to watch Dev walk away from her. She walked the opposite, not sure where she was going exactly. For some reason, she felt guilty. But what did you do wrong? Nothing.

Dev whinced as his brother opened the door and relaxed instantly. "I'm sorry..." he said and lowered his head, his unusually long bangs flopping over his eyes as he failed to look at his brother in the eye. "I tried I really did! She says she likes it here...out on the ocean but she says could n-never be a pirate..." Dev admited.

Dev flopped down onto the bed, stomach down and mumbled into the dry side of Jame's pillow. "Just try to be nice to her I guess..." he said, the sinking feeling of regret and unhelpfullness wouldn't leave him.

"Dont' you dare give up James!" Dev hissed, narrowing his eyes and standing up. "If you do that I'll...." he let out a exasperated growl and stormed out of James' cabin without finishing his sentance. He was looking for Katie.

Katie had been wondering around the ship, but came back to the spot she was before, looking over the water. She was near James's cabin. She felt peaceful there for some reason. She turned around when she heard someone storm out of the cabin. She looked at Dev questioningly.

Dev saw Katie as soon as he was out of the cabin, but now that he saw her he didn't think he'd actually be able to talk to her. Instead he stormed past her, not making eye contact and ran to his favorite spot on the ship. He climbed the rigging on the main mast and climbed up until he reached the first beam, there he sat, staring out at the ocean.

Katie stared at Dev as he stormed passed her. She turned to look at James with desperate eyes. "What happened?!" she asked.
