Poison looked at him and smiled "Your heart is so pure, like the others..." She told him as she looked around the den he was sleeping in "I wish your parents were still alive...they would be proud." Her voice was motherly and sweet.

"Its good to have a pure heart." said Luke. "You've got one, you just buried it because of what you've been through." he said. "Just try to find it and you'll feel a lot better."

Blitz smiled at Drake. "Thanks dad." he said, then looked at Poison and Luke. "Luke is right, I can tell you've got a pure heart as well."

Poison put her ears back "I hope I do..." She said as she looked over the pup and smiled "Who is raising you now?" She asked him, in a weird way she wanted to be his mother.

Blitz nuzzled Drake. "But still a good dad." he said and looked to Twilight. "We're thinking about going to stop Grendel, you in?"

Luke went up to Poison. "But Josh might need a good momma right now." he whispered in her ear, guessing what she'd wanted.

Josh's ears pressed to the top of his head at teh thought of a mother. Yes, he needed a mother figure but no one would or coudl replace hsi mother. He got up and moved a few feet away, collapsing in a laying position, head on a paw, thinking. He missed his mother. The way her fur would lbow in teh wind as she padded on teh street, the way her eyes sparkled whenever she came home after a long day outside, the way she made everyhting okay. But she was gone adn no one could take her place. No one would even try to be anyhting like her. His eyes welled with tears but he didn't let a single one fall.

"You'll do great," Maia told Blitz. "We'll help you every single step of the way." She felt a devotion to him that she couldn't explain. She looked down at Luke and nuzzled him. "You're a sweet pup," she whispered so quietly no one else could hear.

Angel smiled. "You ahve all of us with you, Blitz. Anytime you wish to strike, we will be ready."

Poison walked over to Josh and wipped away his tears, she didn't want him to grow yp like herself, rude and scared to cry.She looked at the pup and frowned "Whats up?" She asked him.

Luke smiled. "I know sis." Luke whispered. "I'm not much of a fighter ether but I'll be glad to help."

"My mother was hit by a truck... then my father wouldn't do anything afterwards! He was just a lifeless shell! So tehy could take better care of him, my humans sold me to a mean, ugly man who wanted to fight me with other dogs." Josh whimpered. "And I miss my mom. I know I have new friends like you and Luke but I want my momma back."

"You'll be great, "Maia whispered. "I'm not much of a fighter either. It isn't our fault we don't agree with a thin gour father does." She chuckled and looked up. "I may have seen them, I'm not sure. There was a she-wolf that was torturing the father of a few pups they took away. Is she in his pack?"

"Yes," Copper sanrled lightly. "I know her quite well actually."
