She was snarling at Blizzard telling him to go back to the hole he crawled out of, " He is the dog that you rescued me from. He's not going to survive." She said attacking him and killing him.

Mike bwgan walking, but stopped and looked back at Jame. He came back to her and nuzzled her.
"Hey, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have blown up on on you like that. I'm still really upset about Helga and it's making me really emotional."
He paused, licking away her tears.
"Can you forgive me?"

Mike sighed and nuzzled Jamie back. All these thoughts, and more, had been crossing his mind since Helga had passed away. Mike, and he was sure Jamie too, had learned to trust Helga and her predictions of the future, and hazards along the way. Now with her gone, they were left alone in the dark, to blaze their own trail without any knowledge of what was around the next bend.
Mike curled up next to Jamie and soon fell into a deep sleep.
...He was in the forest, walking next to two figures. One was about the same size he was. He identified her as Jamie. The other figure was smaller than he, with large ears and a bushy tail. No, it couldn't be, could it? It was Helga, walking and looking very much alive. Suddenly there was a bright flash of light. The man with the gun was suddenly in front, standing not 50 feet in front of the three. Mike stopped, but Jamie and Helga continued forward, as if in a daze. He yelled for them to stop, but no words escaped his mouth. BANG!!! Everything went black as a fierce pain shot through his side. Suddenly he awoke. He was now in a rapid river, fighting for his life, taking in huge gulps of water. He blacked out and when he awoke yet again, he was staring down a husky right in the eyes. The dogs eyes were pained and sad looking. So depressed that Mike had to turn away. He wished he hadn't. Before he knew it, he was staring down at the still form of Helga. Standing above her was Jamie. She, however, looked very different than he remembered. She was bearing her teeth, growling fiercly. Suddenly she lunged, landing right on top of Mike, tearing at his flesh. He again blacked out...
Mike woke up with a start, kicking Jamie awake in the process. A sharp pain was throbbing through his side in the area where the hunter had shot him about a week before. Tears wet his eyes as he writhed in pain and heartbreak.
