Dustin's breath caught in his throat, he lifted his hurt back leg up, and perked his ears, then looked from Rose, to Sonya.

"Oh, Sonya," Rose said. "This is Dustin. Dustin, Sonya," she said in means of introduction.
"Nice to meet you," Sonya said, giving Dustin a slight bow of her head in greeting and a sweet, shy smile.

"I was just taking Dustin to Katie, Sonya," Rose said, barely allowing Dustin to get 'hi' out before she started to speak again. "He's leg may be broken. Katie will fix it up and then he'll be on his way." She said the last part to Dustin in warning.
Sonya nodded, watching Rose's strange, almost protective manner. "I could tell that his leg was hurt," she said. "We should get him to Katie as soon as possible."

Dustin growled deep in his chest. Something deep down told him he wasn't leaving anytime soon... He smiled at Sonya, walking/limping over to her, he bowed his head. "I apologize for distracting you from whatsoever you were doing..." He winked at her before he headed out of the barn.

Sonya was taken aback by Dustin action, but allowed herself to smile slightly. She had been so busy with her work as a sled dog, she never had enough time for love. Maybe this was it!
Rose brushed passed Sonya, directly putting herself between Sonya and Dustin.

Dustin looked back. "Well, C'mon, Rose." He grinned. "I can still beat you, ven with a broke leg." Sonya's mere exsistance to him had obviously lifted his spirits.

Sonya giggled at Dustin's eagerness to make his leg worse. She trotted faster to walk with Rose.
While Dustin seemed int high spirits, his existence had brought Rose's way down. "Not right now, Dustin," she said strictly. "You should give that leg rest."

Dustin lifted his leg back up to limp beside Rose. "Ehh, Alright." He nodded. It does kinda hurt... he thought.

When they came to the porch, Rose scratched at the door until Katie opene it. "Hey, guys," Katie said with a smile until she noticed Dustin had his leg up. "Dustin, did you hurt yourself?" she asked, openingt he door wide for the three dogs to come in.
Sonya followed ROse into the house.

"Come on, boy," Katie said, leading Dustin into the living room and setting him on the couch so he would have to jump. She went into the kitchen to get the first aid kit.
Sonya sat down by the couch Dustin was on. "So, how did you hurt yourself?" she asked.
Rose laid down on her doggie bed that was next to Sonya with a sigh.

"A dog fight?" Sonya asked with surprise. "Why were you in a dog fight?" she asked.
Rose closed her eyes, no longer worried about Sonya. As long as Dustin was being truthful, Sonya wouldn't want to hang around with him.
