Fenix smiled at her and replied "Ya...it is"
Rain now lived underneath the meat market and humans would feed her every now and then.She was walking threw town when she felt a human grab her neck, she swung and lunged at him and she was put into a crate and then he threw her into the back of her car and she hit her head hard on the wall.She stood up as far as she could and she snarled threw the crack in the crate and she was then let out and let into a pen alone, she snapped and nawed at the metal bars and barked "Let me out of here!" she screamed as a man put a harness on her, she had seen others wear this too and they pulled a sled.She bit the man's hand and he hit her with his fist on her head and she didn't even flinch.She snarled again, and he hit her until she was on the ground, unable to move.She layed there on the ground and never whinned or whimpered, but she just snarled and snapped at him.He then pulled out a long thing that looked like a twig, it was caled a whip and he hit her with it.She started to bleed and it hurt worse than his fist.She couldn't fight anymore, she let him slide the harness in her bloody body and lead her to the sled.Limping she glared at the other dogs, telling them to back off and don't mess with her.She then noticed two of them...they had a familier smell, they had a familier feel too.She walked up to them and sniffed the male and smiled slightly at him "F-f-fenix?Is that y-y-you?" She studdered trying not to cry, or fall.Her beautiful black fur was now a blanket of blood that coated her body, trying to put her to her never ending sleep.She then smelt the female and smiled slightly again "I-is that you Snowy?" She said as she stiffened her mucles and squinted her eyes as the pain grew more threw her body as the human, that she now called owner, pulled her scruff on her back and slung her back. She fell to the ground and looked at owner and snapped at him rudly "Don't do that!" She snarled as she jumped up and got ready to run.She just knew what she needed to do, she felt good in the harness.
"Bang!" and they were off!She bolted and the ground below her looked like a giant white blur as she pushed harder, and harder!The wind beat against her wounds that still hurt but she didn't slow.She smiled, the first time in her life that sh truly smiled and ment it!She ran even faster, it felt as if she were flying!She barley felt the ground toutching her paws anymore....she was happy.
"Rain?Are you ok?" Fenix said as he sniffed her to make she she wasn't a fake.He then saw his owner come up and lunge her back to the ground!He couldn't go check on her, he was latched on his harness and couldn't move.She stood up and snapped at the owner.The owner isn't mean to us!Why to her? he thought as he heard the starting gun fire.He was behind his sisters and he was amazed on how fast Rain was!"Rain!Slow down!Give us all a break!" He said noticing the others stumbling, trying to keep up with them.
Aleu awoke and smiled at her dad "Papa!I want to hunt!Please!" She begged.Her parents didn't let her go out alone because of what happened to Fenix and Snowy.
Feather looked over at Eagle and smiled "What do you think?Should we let her go?" She asked as she licked his face lovingly.

Snowy pulled the dogs forward and they were off to a running pace. She went a little bit faster but that was it. She was the lead dog and she knew that if she went faster the others on the team would get tired and the other team would win because they had to stop for a breathe. She ran and boom! That was the one mile marker. She ran just a little bit faster and she was an inch away from the finish line and she lunged forward crossing the finish line. She felt good that her team had won the race. They were all at a halt and the owner brought them all a bowl of water and unhooked them. Well, that is, except for Rein. She then barked harshly and the musher said, " Ok, ok. I'll let her free." He laughed and let her go. Snowy looked at her badly beaten sister. " Rein, are you ok?" She asked licking her wounds.

Rain stole another dog's bowl and drank his.She heard a click on her back an smelt the owner.He didn't hurt her this time...he let her free!She smiled and her sister licked her wounds and she lunged away from her with glaring eyes "I can take care of myself!Get away!I want to stay!" She snarled as she limped away to the oner and she then looked back at Snowy "As the great wolf spirit, Aniu would say....it takes alot to be truly happy, even you'r life."Then she just continued walked and grabbed her harness and drpped it at her owner's feet to tell hit she wanted to stay.She looked up at him and wgged her tail.He reached down for her head, she quinted her eyes, half expecting him to hurt her and the other half to kill her..eaither way was bad.But he rubbed her head slightly, it flt good.She smiled and licked his hand.

Snowy walked up to her, " See, doesn't it feel great to have somebody actually care for you and feed you?" She asked and smiled at her. " If you respect him, he will respect you. That is why you weren't getting hit. Or maybe, he was just being kind to you." She said.

Rain smiled at the man and heard her sister talking to her "I know!It is!" She said as she layed down and smiled on the owners fet as he brought her inside.

She smiled and saw her girl walking up towards her and her boy walking up towards Fenix. She barked as if to say she was glad to see them. Then, they too went home and they both ate a wonderful meal made by their owners. " Mm, this is so good Fenix. I got Chicken with some tuna in it today. What did you get today?" She asked wagging her tail next to her brother and eating her meal.

"I got kibble!Again!" He whinned.The always gave him the worst because he was the worst!"What did you get Rain?" He asked as he took a bite of his his food
"Oh I got mmmm somthing good!The girl called it steak!It is soooo good!" She said as she gobbled it up in a second.

She looked at Fenix's food and swapped. " There, you need something better this time." She said and ate the Kibble. There wasn't anything but a crumb left in her bowl. She then left the food place and layed down in front of the nice warm fire. She saw Fenix walk up to her and lay down beside her. She then lifted one eye lid, and smiled.

She then yawned and opened her eyes. The owners were going on a jog and possibly taking the dogs with them. She lept up and ran up to them wagging her tail and begging to go on a jog with them. She looked over to her brother and sister. "Do you guys want to come with us?" She asked.

Fenix perked his ears up "I am coming!Wait up!" Fenix ran up to them and they went out of the house and ran besides the humans.
Rain looked confused "What?Where are they going?You know what.....I am going to explore the house!Bye!" She replied with a confused tone.She watched them leave and only Fenix and Snowy went, the rest of the team stayed back.The humans had put a thing around her neck that they called a colloar, she couldn't see it so she went to the human's room and found a mirror.She looked at herself for the first time, her black fur shone like the Raven's feather.The collar was so shiny!They called it diamonds and she liked them, she posed before the mirror and she read the tag on it and it read Raven.The humans called her Raven alot too...maybe that was her name?She thought as she re-read it.She liked the name, and it fit her!She thought about it for a while and said to herself "I am Raven!" She walked out of the room and pranced around the house looking at stuff and sniffing this and that with curiosity.

She loved her girl and well, everybody. The owner that was walking her was telling her something on the way home. " Fenix! We have mail to deliver! Isn't this so exciting! And it's far away too. We have to tell Rein." She said. When they were home, they latched the team up and Rain was right in front of every body else. But, she was still the lead dog. She obeyed the musher's commands and she was off to deliver the mail. The leather felt good on her body.

Rain was put onto the lead dog place next to Snowy, and she exited, she was stumbling around everywhere."We are going far,far away to deliver mail!I haven't ever done this before!" She said "Oh!And guess what!The humans re-named me!They now call me Raven.......should you call me Raven?" Rain/Raven asked with curiosty and doubt but before she could say anything else hey were off.Rain was running faster and faster as her legs burned with speed, the ground seemed as if it wasn't there, it was just a giant white blur.She felt good, not good, but perfect...she felt pefect.

Bolt was walking and he saw Raven/Rain. Man she's cuteHe thought. He ran up to her and said, " Hey, where you headed off to?" He asked walking by her.

Fenix followed his sister Snowy but was unsure about the new male that had poped-up. Fenix stretched infront of the fireplace and curled up into a small ball of fur on the ground, his boy sat there and pet him until he dozed off.
Raven saw a male dog she hasn't ever seen before "Umm....hi!" She said with a studder wow.....just..just..um..wow Raven thought as she pawed the ground and then her girl grabbed her by her harness and started to walk her home "Wait!" Raven barked as her girl let her go "Ok, ok" her girl said as Raven bolted back tards the new male.She brushed herself off and smiled again "So...umm...whats you'r name?" Raven asked as she licked her paw.
