Vixen nodded. "What do we do?" She flicked an ear in worry. What if they didn't make it in time, what if someone recognized her....too many 'ifs', in her opinion.

Xinal nodded thankful, "I need to go over to the waterwolves to warn them of the attack we are about to do." He said as he started to make his way towards his supposed border patrol route. "I don't like what Granger is doing, I see no logic behind it. He kept it from me because I'm an outsider but I want to help." He turned to look at Vixen, "I was also thinking of asking the Wind Wolves to help. They are neutral I know, but I'm afraid the Ground wolves will wipe out the Water Wolves!" He barked panic flaring in his eyes. "I don't want to see any 'clan' disappear again." His eyes were glazing with sorrow, his mind returning to a time long past.

Granger nodded, "Alright. We should set up a preliminary force to keep any wind wolves at bay."

"But sir," his war advisor barked, "We need everyone for the full assault of the Water wolves. We can't spare no less because this is their land, their advantage."

Granger thought for a moment. "I have a plan."

Xinal suddenly thought of something, "Where's Daiku? I promised him I'd tell him of my plan when I'd push through with it. He could help us with talking with the Wind Wolves." He added genuine concern, "I understand you might not want to head into Wind Wolf territory right now. Am I?" Xinal then flushed, "I'm sorry! I didn't mean to be poking through your business." He turned his head away.

The days had started to shorten, and the nights, in turn, lengthened. Right now the sun was day, and still a cold breeze stifled its stiffened fingers through everything; grass, which would rustle in despair, and trees, who would lose their leaves as they branches quaked; and even wolves; their coats thickening in a quick response even as the cold wind pushed its fingers against their skin. Summer sighed as she traveled through this desolate land, her ears against her head, held there by anger. She had lost all trace of another wolf type around and even more so, that othere luna wolf was still on her mind. Was there any luck should she find them again? There was not tell what has happened bewteen the time she lost trace and to now.

Her fur bristled again, and this time not from the wind. The white fur had already grown thick enough that the wind did not bug her too much, only every now and then the wind hit her fur just right and push it up, reveling her white skin. Her black lips rolled up, revealing the yellowish white fangs that were hidden under the flap of skin, and a soft growl rumbled forth, bluw eyes flashing as she tracked the scent in the wind. It had been hard, at first, but all of those lessons that her father had taught her served her well. And now she was close enough that she could simply track the scent on the ground, after just a few minutes most scents will take to the air, and usually go in one direction or another. She could track the scent, keeping in mind the wind speed and direction so then she knew where the real track was, and thus could find the ground scent when she was close enough. Black tails rose up, long hair waving in the wind like a flag through her feathered wings, she breathed deeply as wolves scent was strong now, even as the wind tried its hardest to rip it away from her greedy nostrils.

"It's fine," Vixen sighed and padded alongside Xinal. "I'll come and do whatever it takes to stop this." Though she dreaded everypawstetp towards the territory. "But I don't think the Wind Wolves will very much enjoy seeing me, or enjoy helping this battle, even though there's a chance they will do it. They have good hearts, but they never forget..." She pinned her ears back.

Daiku was not far from Xinal, he did some of his own business and flew down to meet him, making another crash landing into Xinal. "Whoops! sorry!" He got up and shok his fur, dusting it off and smiled, "so where ya off to?"

Xinal felt the impact of a small ball of fur along his side. Before he knew it the momentum carried by Daiku had transferred to him and he flew ff his paws into the water hole a few paces behind him. He stumbled up, his fur plastered to his sides. "There you are." He shook himself before he padded back forward. "We're going to warn the other wolves about the upcoming battle." Xinal answered, "The latest we have is sun high, that's the longest Granger would probably wait for me to return from patrol. I know he said Dawn but I assume that he wants to confirm that everyone is complete. He checks and double-checks everything apparently to make things go according to plan.
Xinal tipped his head to the side, "At least that's how I see it. I just hope he doesn't change his behaviour today."

Daiku grinned as he heard of the plan, "well if there sno time to waste what are you standing around for!? lets go!" with that the puppy took off.

Xinal ran on after Daiku, "Wait up!" Xinal ran on, "Should we warn the waterwolves first?" He asked Daiku seeing that he is the Luna Wolf.

Granger nodded to a new subsidary unit he created on the spot. "Second Beta you shall weaken the Wind wolves offensive capabilities by attacking. I chose you because you are the most clever amongst the units. "Your goal is to fight them just to the point where they can't fight anymore to help out the Water Wolves. Use your resource, your brains for this mission. Leave now. If you come across Xinal tell him to return at once. He's taking too long."

The leader of the new sub group nodded before turning to face his group confirming that they understood the mission.

Daiku shook his head no, "THe attack on the wind will come first, i'll warn the water, you should move as fast as possible to prevent any problems... wait!" With that Daiku litterally attacked Xinal.

Xinal toppled off his paws. "What is it?" Xinal looked up at Daiku getting up hastily.

"At secondary Beta units all ready?" The leader barked. All returned nods. "Alright let's move." They started padding towards the entrance of the camp. As they left their camp boundaries they started to sprint.

Daiku kept up attacking Xinal, but not hurting him, roughing him up maybe, but when he stopped, "there, you got ambushed, a reason for bieng late! now go warn the wind wolves! i'll warn the water!" With that Daiku flew off at a amazing speed.

Vixen flicked an ear and lowered her head slightly. It seemed she might have to face the Wind Wolves after all...Turning to Xinal, Vixen sighed. "Alright, let's go warn them." She dreaded every minute of it. What if they recognized her, killed her and didn't believe Xinal?

Xinal shook himself before turning to look at Vixen, "I don't understand that pup sometimes." He shook his head clearing it of confusion before he continued, "Can you lead the way to their camp? I've only been as far as the border."

Head lowering slightly, Vixen just turned away from him and started running towards Wind Wolf territory. Obviously she was going to be spotted. But if this could save the packs from extinction from Granger...She might as well die in the process. Vixen deserved it anyway.

Xinal ran after Vixen sending up clouds of dust into the air.

Granger held his head up, "As soon as your final preparations are complete, gather here for a meetin!" He barked to all.

The small group sent out to attack the windwolves were heading through the territory quickly towards the border. They came across the second scout sent out by Granger. "Done?" The leader of the group called.

The other wolf nodded in reply, "Yes, am heading back now."

"Have you seen Xinal? He should've been back before you went out."

"I haven't." That answer left the 'sub-beta' at a loss.

"Be sure to report that to Granger, and tell him we haven't seen him on our way to meet you."

Both wolves nodded before heading off once more.
