Balto chuckled. "I was never so happy to smell burnt fur!" he said. "Like I said, you can be as sly as a fox."

"I'd say you like it." said Cachen. "I'm ok with kibble."

Fang sighed. "Alright, just promise me you won't cry alright? I don't think you should hold your feelings back but I don't think I could handle you cryin."

Lena ate somemore. "Do sled dogs eat this a lot?"

The assistent nodded. "Well Kodi's the only one of their pups here, think they're his?"

OOC: That's one of my favorite scenes!

Jenna chuckled, placing her head underneath Balto's chin, so the side of her face lay in the light fur of his chest. "you must of thought I was as good looking as one too." her ears lowered a moment. "God, I feel so fat." she whimpered.

Kai rolled his eyes. "You eat what you like, doggie." he chuckled.

Tai nodded, looking up at Fang with a smile. "I promise, I'll try my best not to cry, Fang."

Kodi nodded, giving a sigh. "Unfortunately, yes Lena. After a run to our destination we get some, and then back." he looked down at the bowl. "It gets boring after a while."

The doctor nodded. "Could be. He is of age." he said.

Balto chuckled. "You don't look fat Jenna, you're a little bigger but then again you're a pet."

Cachen chuckled. "Well it might be because of my...problem, you know how I get when I see blood?" he asked, embaressed about that.

Fang nodded and got up. "Come on Tai." he said.

Lena nodded. "Well its not bad food and you don't have to catch it."

"But who's the mother?" asked the assistent. "The only female I can think of is Dusty and Simson would of told us if she'd had pups, would of took them for a check up, that and those pups mostly look more wolf than dog."

Jenna nodded, nuzzling Balto once more. "Aww thank you..." she said, licking his muzzle.

Kai nodded, his tail wagging to and fro. "It's alright Cachen. You don't have to say it." he smiled.

Tai nodded, getting up an walking after Fang.

Kodi nodded, givign a shudder. "Tastes weird after a few times though."

The doctor shook his head, looking at each of the pups. "You're right, the look much more wolven than anything."

Balto nuzzled Jenna. "Should we put up the lights?"

Cachen nodded but looked a little sad. "If it wrong I'm like that?"

Fang walked over to the way under the building and lead Tai inside. He saw Ralph was now in the same sleep as Katie and kept on going. "Here we are, need a boost?"

Lena nodded. "I can understand, well I'm just happy to be on a sled run! Its cool!"

The assistent nods. "Yes but who is their mother? There aren't many other wolfdogs in Nome besides his family."

Jenna nodded. "Looking up to the hill. "I think we should." she said softly.

Kai shook his head. "No not at all Cachen. It's not normal for a dog to be squeemish around blood, but it's natural sometimes." he put his paw around his brother.

Tai shook her head, "Naw, I'll be able to reach." she looked a bit nervous. "But, you go first, kay?"

Kodi nodded. "you think so? I hope you'll have fun." he smiled.

The doctor smirked. "Perhaps the Mother is not a wolf/dog..." he said.

Jenna nodded. She looked about. "Lantern lantern, where could you be?" she chuckled.

Kai smiled, shrugging. "No such thing as normal Cachen."

Tai nodded, jumping up and pushing her entirety onto the hard floor. "Okay, not so hard." she murmured.

Kodi thought back a moment. "Lena, you've only been on what? Two adventures?" he grinned.

Balto looked around. "Let's see..."

Cachen smiled. "I guess your right brother." he said.

Fang nodded. "Alright, there she is Tai." he said, pointing to Katie.

Lena got a mischivious smirk. "That you know of."

The assistent nodded. "Yeah, I guess Kodi could easily love a wolf as much as he could love a dog." he said. "Nothing wrong with that though, I mean come to think about it the wolves aren't much of a threat to us at all, they barely come near Nome."

Jenna smiled, looking all around them, usually taking more time in looking at Balto. She knew, she knew he could do this. It was easier...then most things...

Kai nodded. "Ah, see? Think like an alpha." he chuckled, looking to the near forests.

Tai nodded, looking over at her Mother, a bit frightened at her state; almost unmoving, breathing heavily, and giving a few spluterring coughs every now and then.

Kodi's eyes widened "Lena..." he said sternly, looking at his daughter.

The doctor nodded, leaning down to Lena with a slight smile. "well, we have to see if they're friendly." he gave the fingers a gentle click, ushering her over in a sweet tone.

"There's one." said Balto, pointing.

Cachen nodded. "I know bro, you'll be a good alpha wolf just like our aunti Aleu."

Fang put a paw on Tai's shoulder. "She's not hurting right now, she can't feel anything."

Lena smirked and walked over to the doctor, wagging her tail but being cationous, humans had hurt her before.

"She seems friendly." said the assistent. "At least I think its a female, body shape looks right."

Jenna nodded, sitting up. "alright. I tihnk the glass is still sitting there. I'm not entirely sure." she said, thinking back for a moment.

Kai nodded, looking around with a sigh. "Good, cause I really don't think I belong here...I'll help Mama if I need to, but, other than that..."

Tai noddded, giving a hard gulp. "They say when someone's in a deep sleep...The last thing that goes is hearing." she walked up to her Mother's sleeping form, laying down to keep Katie's form warm. "Mama, we're.." she gulped again, "we're going to help you, Mama."

Kodi smiled, taking a few steps as Lena walked, over, being ever the cautious Father.

The doctor smiled, reaching a hand out and stroking the soft cheek fur the pup had. "that's a good girl...C'mon, I won't hurt you." he said, still being as kinda as he could muster.

Balto nodded. "Last time I checked it was." he said.

Cachen nodded. "Well just be nice around the humans, they won't let you come if you bite them."

Fang put his paw on Tai's shoulder. "Key word, we're, I'm here too Katie, I'll help save you." he said.

Lena barked gleefully and licked his hand.

"She's friendly alright...the wolves are getting sick too, if theses pups mother was a wolf, we might want to try and save them too, after all theses pups are risking their lives for this, is their enough antitoxin?"

"Uhh...two months ago..." said Balto, chuckling nerviously.

Cachen nodded. "Yeah, you're a smart brother."

Fang smiled. "Come on Tai, let's get back before they notice we're gone." he said. "Though I'm sure Lena has you doing that a lot."

Lena relaxed, enjoying being petted. Tai and Cachen got the attention from humans normally, she enjoyed getting some now.

"I know, I meant their mother, if she's a wolf she's probably ill, is there going to be enough antitoxin for all the dogs in the hostbiltal and the wolves around Nome?"
