Balto hugged his niece. "Please Tai, calm down." he said. "I know you're upset but trust me, this isn't your fault." he said. "I know you're never not in control, I know you don't like feeling this way but you have to realize that somethings just can't be controled, for esample, I couldn't control that everyone hated me for being a hybrid, I didn't let it keep me down, it hurt but I managed to get my spirits back up." he said. "Tai, you're too much of a joy for you to let yourself get depressed."

She looked at her father as she was laid to her side and sighed. She heard her father and shook her head, trying to move, trying to get up, the pain was getting worse as she said No!!. It was going to hurt to much, she looked her mother's paw and bit it, but only to get up..

Katie cringed, letting her daughter bite into her paw. That is, before she realized Lena was trying to get away "No, Lena." she gingerly pressed her pup back down. "Now, Baby, calm down please." she said in a tender, motherly tone.
Tai could barely hear, being a bit too far gone to really understand. All she could do was give out a few choked, hiccuping sobs. She continued to berate herself inside her mind, and yet, tryin to sleep all at once.

"Lena, if you don't let me fix this, you might never be able to walk on this leg again." said Kodi. "And if I do it right, you're leg will feel a lot better afterwards."
Balto sighed, he wasn't sure what to tell Tai to calm her. "Tai please calm down, you're becoming a nervious wreck."

She felt her body being pushed back by her mother back to the ground and she wanted to curse the feeling in her legs giving away. She heard her father and sighed as she opened her mouth to bite down on her mother's paw when the pain would come.

"I'm sorry I have to do this Lena." said Kodi, sincerly. He put his paws on the part of her leg that was twisted at the wrong angle. "Here we go." he said and jerked his paws and religned Lena's leg as quickly as he could with a loud snap. He then nuzzled her and comforted her. "There, all done."

Lena braced herself for the worst pain in the world and felt her eyes water as she was scared. Hearing her dad say something but blocked it out as she felt her leg being touched and suddenly the worst pain ever hit her. She didn't have time to bite down on her mother's paw, for she screamed, this scream echoed through the whole cave.

Kodi hugged his daughter, trying to comfort her. "I'm sorry I had to do that baby girl but it will help you, I promise." he said, a few tears running from his eyes from seeing his daughter in so much pain, he knew it would stop soon but he had to be with her till then to comfort her.

Katie nodded, keeping Lena secure. She'd be there to comfort her daughter if the need arose. It did, sure enough and she held Lena tight and gingerly. She looked at Kodi, licking his cheek "You did what you had to."
Tai's breathing slowed down, and the sobs seemed to calm. Her body was curled up, only a tear or two going down her face.

Lena felt the tears stinging her eyes as they fell and she nodded and said "I know..". She then thought of something, well someone and said "Wheres Tai? Is she ok?" she asked as she tried to stand up now..

"Tai, honey, your sister wants to see you." said Kodi. "She's been very upset, think you might be able to help calm her down?" he asked Lena.
"Go on Tai, your sister want's to see you." said Balto.

Katie nuzzled Lena's cheek softly. "Papa's gonna get Tai in a minute."
Tai's eyes opened slowly, looking up at her Father "Um," she nodded. "Sure"

Kodi nodded. "Yeah I will." he said softly. "I love you Lena." he said.
Aleu walked over and nuzzled Lena. "Hey Lena, you feeling better?" she asked kindly.

Tai nodded, getting up slowly, and going forward. She stayed behind, however, and looked at her sister with a slight chill. Her spine seemed to go rigid.

Lena heard her mother and smiled as she stood up and looked around for Tai. Her leg was killing her but when she saw her sister, she walked over towards her, wincing every so often and licked her sister's cheek.
