Hype brought the gun closer to Jay's face, seeming to lose himself in his thoughts. "You don't know a thing about losing family, do you?! Do you know what it feels like to see your mother being dragged away by Dracs and transformed right in front of you?! Or what about your father being shot in the face because he tried to save your mother? Huh? Do you know what that feels like to live with?! Those memories staining your mind every second of the day?!"

"Hype!!" Runt yelled from the table, tears streaming down her cheeks.

"YOu think I've never lost?!" snarled Jay "Do YOU know what it's like to have your child ripped away from you?! To have someone you love betray you so deeply you think you're acctually gonna DIE because it hurts so muh, hurts so much it's acctually physical, to hit the darkest point there is and have NOONE who cares?!" Jay was acctually crying in frustration and the pain of memories as he spoke.

Hype suddenly began to soften his gaze, moved by the other man's tears. He nodded silently, then said quietly. "Yes, I have." Then he let his gaze fall to the ground as he lowered his gun and let Jay go.

Jay sumbled when Hype let go, only just managing to stop himself falling. He wiped his face almost angrily "Don;t think tha makes us the same" he snapped, but the coldness was wobbly.

Hype shook his head. "I'll never be like you." he spat, sliding his gun back into the holster and turning his attention back to his sister.

"Weak?" Hype laughed, as if it was one big joke. "You're not the one who cares for their baby sister ever since you were eight years old, plus a dog, mind you."
