"I know mom," Eureka said, nodding and just listening to her mother ramble on.

Shane approached the females quietly, and cleared his throat for attention.
"Hey, um Reka? Rochelle....she said she was gonna go into town for a couple days...? So, yeah." He said.

Reka perked, staring at Shane. "Town?" she questioned. "Wha...is....Is she stupid?! She's going to get hurt!"
"Oh calm down. She'll be fine." Rii rolled her eyes.
"The town is full of humans!" Reka spat.
"And Rochelle will still be fine." Rii replied.
"The humans could hurt her!"
Rii sighed with annoyance. "Reka, Rochelle will be fine. I didn't even worry this much with you."

Shane shrank back a tad.
"Well, she said she wanted a break from everyone...." He muttered, looking sadly at his paws.

"That's probably because you're sheltering the poor girl," Rii shot a glance at Reka. "She's a shy, quiet girl. She needs to explore a bit. You confine her to a space and she'll find a way to disappear!"
Reka groaned, knowing her mother was right.

"I can go fetch her if thats what you want Reks." He offered unwillingly.

"If you don't mind Shane," Reka said, thankfully. "I don't want her in that town...who knows who could be there watching her.."
Rii rolled her eyes at how protective her daughter had come.

Shane forced a weak smile.
"Sure.." He said, turning and padding off. He trotted into town, looking all around for Rochelle. He spotted her quickly and began trotting her way.

Rochelle was standing in the middle of the road, a very tall blonde shepherd mix joined her side, laughing as he cracked a joke. The blonde dog was the same that had helped Shane find Rochelle when she was missing as a pup.

Shane slowed his trot at the site of Rochelle talking with another male. He staggered backwards a bit, and turned slowly. He sighed, feeling tears wwell up in his eyes.

The male, Antonio was the first to catch sight of Shane. "Ain't that..?" he said to Rochelle who looked over.
"Hey Shane!" she called, prancing over to him.

Shane didnt turn around he simply trotted quickly off. He knew it was nothing to be worried about, Chelle hanging around Antonio, but a tinge in his heart was so protective of her. He came back to camp, empty handed, and he faked a smile.
"She's fine. Stayin' with a friend of mine..." He lied, about the friend part. Antonio and him were merely aquaintences.

Reka nodded, accepting the response. "Thanks Shane..." she said.

"n-no prob..Reka..." He mumbled, turning, and trudging back to lay underneath a tree.

Reka sighed and moved back to converse with her parents.
