I will have to agree with you there. It was mentioned before I think, but you're absolutely right. She did effect the other characters negatively, looking from both the inside of the movie and outside.

You pretty much topped it off right there, but hey, I may as well chime in that I think you're absolutely right XD

Now there's an idea! I wonder if one could take that idea (with credit to you) and make a full blown fanfic out of it?

Here are some reasons people hate Aleu and why I disagree:

Her voice: This is a common reason, and often not the only one. But don't forget, it's the actor who has the voice. It's the movie creator's fault that Aleu didn't have a better voice, not hers! PLUS, I don't think her voice is very bad anyway.

Her personality: People think Aleu's personality is bad , but please, everyone has their ups and downs. Apart from bad qualities, Aleu's personality has is ups as well.

Her anotomy: Some people complain that Aleu is way out of proportion. HELLO!! Animator's fault. Take a better drawer, make a pic of Aleu, and there you go! Fixed.

So, I love Aleu, but when I first watched Balto 2 in original her voice for me sounded so bad maybe because, that actor's voice doesn't best for Aleu :/
..But I watch B2 in czech and Aleu for me is sweet but in original movie for me is so wrong...Just I don't like original Aleu's voice and I think if I watch Balto 2 in english so I don't like her too...Her voice (in english) is only what I don't like on Aleu.... but it's only my opinion ...

I can't say Aleu's is the worst, but also I can't say that she't the best.

Cat--->Not in bad but you hate every characters what does not belongs to you.

Please stop this, this is topic is called, "Why most people ate Alue", not "Why Cat hates Alue" please stick to the topic.

And well people tend to like things created by themselves, because they have something from you in them,AND they are YOURS, they belong to you and no one else, I preferably chars created by me than by others, but they are two or more exeptions, and Cat you know which chars they are XD

I myself, am an Aleu fan. The most reasons I've heard why she is hated is that people say they hate her because she looks ugly. Other, is because people thinks she is a jerk because she is always complaining. But I think we would all complain if we only realize years later that our father and mother have always known why you've been shunned all your life without your parents telling you right away. I don't blame her.

Anyways, everything I said is just my opinion, not fact. This is from self experience, I've actually talked to Aleu haters, and I honestly have no problem with people who hate her. I mean if they hate her, that doesn't mean you have to hate her too, right? And my opinion on her being ugly, I, pay attention to the 'I', I think that she isn't ugly, but how the movie looked like it was rushed, is what makes her ugly. It looks like they didn't take their time on animating, but if you enjoy and take your time, one eye wouldn't always look so crooked. In the end, no one has the same opinion on something all the time, and the best thing you can do is respect their opinion, or ignore it.

And thats not including fan characters and original characters I like either.
