"Yes. It was that annoying stupid boy snotlout. He set toothless' tail on fire."
"I-i could cut him in half right now."
"Astrid already tried that... couldnt get him to stay still." Hiccup chuckled when his father said that.

, then grimaced, feeling the pain from several broken ribs. "Well, this is going to be fun," hiccup said sarcastically.

"heh heh," Stoick chuckled, then walked out of the room to get some pain medicine.

Hiccup had 3 broken ribs, a sprained ankle, and a sprained elbow.

Hiccup woke up in the middle of the night, his pain meds wearing off. 'Snotlout really needs to be taught a lesson' Hiccup thought. He didnt want to bother Stoic in the middle of the night, so he just lied in bed, thinking. Of punishments for Snotlout. 'Once i'm cheif,' he thought.
He must have drifted asleep, becuase next thing he knew half the village was once again standing over him. "I'm glad that you all are so worried with my health," he said sleepily, "but can uou all please give me some air?"

"Oh, yeah." Said everyone. They all backed away a few feet. "Dad? When will I get better?"
"A few weeks, son." Stoick replied. "Who is gonna teach dragon academy?" Hiccup asked. He was worried about what the answer might be. "I think you should choose." Stoick replied. Hiccup knew it. His dad would leave it up to him, and then for weeks Tuff, Ruff, Snotlout, Fishlegs and Astrid would be upset if they didn't get the job. "Uh, maybe......"
All the teens looked him him expectantly. "As...Fish.......Astrid!"

"Of couse you you pick your girlfriend!" Snotlout complained loudly

"I wouldn't pick you if I was on fire, and you had the only bucket in town!" Hiccup looked at Snotlout madly, then realized something. "Come here you little rat!" Hiccup tried to get out of bed to knock some sense into Snotlout, but Stoick stopped him.

"Haha, he was gonna beat me up!" Snotlout said. He turned to the rest of the crowd. "Did you guys see that? He seriously thought he could beat me up! Oh, this is rich!"

"Oh yeah!? Well it won't be funny when your face is in the concrete!" Hiccup yelled. He then jumped out of bed, avoiding Stoick, and hit Snotlout in the side. But right after, he fell to the floor holding his sides.

"Snotlout! Dont provoke him, he's obviously delirious from his pain meds." Astrid said, trying to protect Hiccup's dignity. She pulled hiccup off the floor and held him upright.

"Uh, I'm sorry Snotty. I shouldn't of down that." Hiccup sat down on the edge of the bed, then looked at Astrid. "Thanks Astrid." Astrid blushed, "Your welcome." She then bent down and kissed him. Everyone went Awwwww! Bit Snotlout went eh!

"Okay, everyone, can you leave so i can talk to astrid in private? A-about the agon dracanamy!" Hiccup hurried, flushing himself.

"This is too good!" Snotlout said. "We need to give him medication more often!" "Leave Snotlout!" Said Astrid.

"Fine!" Snotlout said, stomping out. "You better watch you drink," Tuffnut added to Astrid, following the crowd out. Ruffnut jabbed him between the shoulder blades with her finger. "Dont make her mad!" She whispered, throwing a glance at a fuming Astrid.
