But some people like arguing about it just to hear themselves talk I guess. :] We've thrown that out there, but people like to pretend he has no say in the movie. It's not like he directed it or anything xD

But some people like arguing about it just to hear themselves talk I guess. :] We've thrown that out there, but people like to pretend he has no say in the movie. It's not like he directed it or anything xD You never let up on that one, do you folks? Probably because it's the only really strong point you have in your favor. I've said it before, and just for the sake of anyone actually listening I'll say it again. Yes, I acknowledge that Dusty and Ralph were together within the timeslot of the movie itself. However, the changes exhibited primarily by Kodi refute pretty much all your other arguments about him being a bad choice for Dusty. And, while Dusty may fairly be treated as part of the same group as Ralph, she shows at least a little evidence of undergoing those same changes of attitude, growing in the same direction as Kodi. I'm not saying that she and Ralph weren't designed to be a couple. But then, it's not unheard of for someone developing a story to end up putting things in unintentionally, sometimes not even realizing it afterwards. My own dad gave up writing because of his inability to read between the very lines he wrote (and I have that straight from the horse's mouth). I myself have scrapped whole stories because I found their concepts to be untenable - for example, I abandoned my attempt to cross The Lion King with The Chronicles of Narnia due to the results I got trying to combine the spirituality of the two. I'm not saying that Dusty wasn't with Ralph, just that she would be better off with Kodi. Besides, as I recall you quite cheerfully dismiss the "well that's what the script said" argument with regard to whom Jenna should be with, and on pretty flimsy basis too ("Oh my gosh Steele is so hawt"). So you dispensing it so readily here is pretty much just double-talk.

Im not accusing I am balancing. How is it part of the movie that Dusty will leave Ralph? Doesn't that mean you are suggesting something other than the DIRECTOR himself has specified as canon? Even saying that Kodi is 'better' than Ralph is implying that you know Ralph as good as you know Kodi to make a fair judgement. In all honestly Ralph doesn't have enough screen time to make any of your Kodi is "better" or Kodi is "more committed" arguements VALID. Ralph didn't have his mommy yelling at him in front of his friends neither. Plus who is Ralph supposed to scold? The whole team was lectured at the same time by Kodi. So Ralph and Kodi are in the same boat with this one. I have to and honestly I would perfer if Kodi would end up with someone outside of the sled dog loop

Based on what can be seen, Ralph just didn't have persistence in much of anything. Even when his livelyhood was on the line he wanted to slow down over that toenail of his. Now I can see how a bad toe would be a hindrence in running, but given that he was willing to let a man freeze to death for trying to steal the team's job, you'd think he'd be big enough to zip it just once. But even with his living on the line, he got worked up over personal comfort. I know firsthand exactly what kind of dad that makes: a bad one. Kodi, at least, had persistence in one area, whereas Ralph had it in none.
And as I said, Ralph's on equal footing with Kodi at best in the scolding department. He and the others were ready to treat Kodi as an enemy, even with the realization that for him it was about family as well as integrity. It was only when he brought them face-to-face with their own lack of integrity, as had been done to him, that they did something. And who was the first to show signs of repentance? Certainly not Ralph.
As for Kodi being with someone outside the sled team, I can see advantages to that. I just get sick of R/D shippers coming out with all this stuff about "Kodi's so terrible, he'd never made a good dad, blah blah blah." I mean at LEAST stay with the arguments that make sense.
EDIT: P.S. I checked back in the movie. Dusty did almost fall off a cliff, but that wasn't when they were going to rescue Duke. And Kodi didn't yell at her for it. So Rush, maybe you should check before you slam.

Not, cuz I don't really see the love between them both, but even if they did it'd be fine with me...

So Rush, maybe you should check before you slam. I repeat Ralph wasn't in the movie enough to really show what his life was like, how do you know he isn't more persistant about something else? Not exactly his choice to be a sled dog since they were BOUGHT and SOLD back then. What living he is a dog xD Well if none but Kodi really had any integrity or care for a human's life then why does that make Dusty good for him? Not him good for Dusty because obviously he is a saint. I'm not one of those people and don't worry the K/D shippers are just as bad P.S. Sorry don't own the movie so I can't watch it whenever... Quote: Whoops sorry it was Balto that was agitated by Dusty almost falling not Kodi. <-- see this, maybe you should check before you slam.

Quote: Whoops sorry it was Balto that was agitated by Dusty almost falling not Kodi. <-- see this, maybe you should check before you slam. If Ralph wasn't, neither was Kodi. There was maybe a five-minute difference in their screentime, total. Besides, you're still basing your argument on no visible evidence. In fact you don't even seem to be trying to present some rational basis. Your basic reasoning seems to be "There is no proof that he wasn't dedicated to something besides being a sled dog, therefore he had to be." Ah, now you're getting outside the usual box. But didn't Dusty show immediate signs of responding to Kodi's lecture? Granted, it would be fair to argue that her conscience isn't up there with his. But there's definitely reason to believe she respects his morals, and that's worth something. And if you're trying to class me on the same level with yourself, let me point out that so far I've based my logic on the movie. You've based it on nothing. And wrong again. Balto didn't yell at Dusty either, unless my DVD player pulled the smoothest skip in recorded history. And I don't own the DVD either, but I do have a library card.

You know...Kodi could have a few Husky puppy but also possibly a wolf-dog pup! Kodi would say,"Dad one of these doesn't look like me or Dusty, He looks like you! Dad, are you hiding something from me..."
