"Well, they're my dad's, really," Setsuko admitted. "A winged lemur named Momo and a flying bison named Appa. Well..." she added, "Appa would be too big for Jaci to attack, anyways, even when he becomes full-grown, so he wouldn't have been a problem. Momo might've been in trouble, though. Lucky for him, we've got Jaci pretty tamed."

A...winged lemur and a flying bison? Okay, the winged lemur she could imagine; Rue had seen some fairly weird stuff. But a flying bison...that was just a little too weird. She blinked, slightly confused. "You have...a flying bison," she repeated slowly, trying to make sense of the sentence.

"Yup," Setsuko answered rather matter-of-factly. "A 10-ton flying bison with six legs and an arrow on his head." She smiled.

Rue opened and closed her mouth a couple of times, looking a bit like a fish out of water. She coughed awkwardly. "Where did you say you were from again?" she asked.

"The Southern Water Tribe," Setsuko stated again. "My dad's an Air Nomad, though, and I've been up to the Temples a few times."

"Right," Rue nodded, still looking a bit unsure. "And are flying bisons with eight legs common there?" she asked.

"Six legs," Setsuko corrected. "And...well, I don't think so. Not anymore, at least. Appa's the only one I've ever met. But I suppose there could be more, somewhere." She paused a moment, looking pensive, then shrugged. "But I guess it doesn't matter.

"Ok, my turn to ask a question. Umm...ok, let's do a simple one. What's your favorite food?"

Rue grinned at the question. "Everything!" she proclaimed cheerfully. "Well, except spinach," she added with a small frown. She hated spinach. "What about you?" she asked, cocking her head curiously at Setsuko.

Setsuko stared incredulously at the winged girl. "You want me to pick just one favorite food? I couldn't!" she gasped. Then she laughed, a merry tint tinging her cheeks. "Nah, but seriously. I don't think I've tried a food yet that I've hated."

Rue grinned. "Sounds like we have some similarities, then," she commented, a small laugh edging her words. Curiousity flitted across her face for a moment, her brown gaze settling on Setsuko. "So, tell me more about the South Pole, and the...uh...Air Nomads," she invited, cocking her head inquisitively.
