"Fioh? But is hot he-oh!" complained Yuumi, wiping sweat off his forehead.

"It's only to cook," Rue explained to Yuumi, a smile tugging at the corners of her lips.

"Ooooooohhhhhh," Said Yuumi, drawing the word out as long as he could. Kya walked up behind him and scooped up her little brother. Yuumi laughed with pleasant surprise. "Play!" he said. "Yes, play," Kya agreed in playful voice. Setsuko nodded in her daughter's direction as Kya left the room. "She's a great help with the younger kids," Setsuko told Rue. "Especially when I'm busy with Li and can't deal with Yuumi."

"I wish Maddy would be that way more often with Tess," Rue sighed.

"Hey!" Maddy said with indignation.

"Well, I do," Rue laughed.

Maddy corssed her arms, letting out a sigh.

Setsuko laughed lightly. "It's alright, Maddy. I was never the hand-on-with-kids girl when I was younger, either. Animals, on the other hand..." She turned to Jaci with a warm gaze. Jaci, catching it, purred with delight. Setsuko turned to Rue. "Kya probably gets it from my mother. I've heard she was like that when she was younger."

Maddy's irritated mood faded at Setsuko's wrods, and she smiled at her.

Rue nodded. "None of my kids get it, unfortunately."

"You do know we hear you, right?" Gale said.

Setsuko smiled teasingly. "And just who would they get it from?" she asked.

"Tariq can be hands-on..." Rue said, souunding defensive. She was grinning though.

Setsuko shrugged. "If you say so!" Just then, Misaki scrambled over to them. "Yuumi picked his nose and now he's trying to touch me with it!" She whined in disgust. Setsuko rolled her eyes. "Oh, brother..." she mumbled. Putting Li down on the floor for the time being, she walked over to Yuumi.

Rue tried not to laugh.

Gale tapped Maddy on the shoulder, immediatly imiating picking his nose. "Gale!" Maddy cried.

"Ew," muttered Misaki. Li laughed his baby laugh. Setsuko returned quickly, leading Yuumi by the hand. He looked at his feet. "Sowwy I twy-d to wipe you wiff my nos." He apologized unenthusiastically.

Tess smiled at Yuumi. "He;s cute," she said.

Kya trotted over. "Yeah, he is. Most of the time." She agreed. Kya had seen much of Yuumi's bad side as well...but thankfully, that stayed hidden most of the time.

"Now," Rue said, interrupting. "Weren't we going to build a fire? Who wants to help?"

"I will!" Tess said eagerly.

Sumi shrugged. "Sure, I guess," He offered. He had helped build fires at home.
