Nika smiled and looked away, obviously nervous and unsure. I'm insane, I'm mad! What in the world do I think I'm doing, I'm the leader and he..well isn't very much of a high class pack member compared to some of the other choices. She looked up at him, her filling her eyes, she knew she couldn't have him just yet, but they could have this moment, couldn't they? She pushed her muzzle as deep into his chest fur as she could manage, her breath hot on his neck and her heart rattling it's cage as it tried to get use to this new emotion.


Rowan grinned softly, the whole scene gave him a warm glow inside. "I couldn't ask for anything more Nisha..." He whispered before resting his head over her neck gently, not wanting to move her or make her uncomfortable. As his eye lids began to feel heavy he began to wonder about if Nisha wanted him to be there with her, but even if she didn't he still wanted this one moment.

Talon wanted to placed his muzzle against her back and shoulders, and to press himself against Nika and never let her go, and even though she was pressing herself against him, he knew he couldnt do this to her. Nika was the alpha female, he was low on the pack chain. He wanted the best for her, and the best for her, was to let her go.

Nisha curled up closer to Rowan, the minute he layed his head over her neck and small shiver ran down her spine at his touch. She finaly gave into sleep, taking in the scent of Rowan before resting her head on his paws. "Dont ever leave Rowan." she muttered back to him before falling asleep.

(Rowan has the same voice and looks like Del Gato from beverly hills Bevely Hills Chihuahua


Rowan let out a larger breath of air as he took in her scent "I won't Nisha, I promise." He let his eyes close as he fell asleep with her under the shade.


Nika felt that Talon wasn't nuzzling her back. She stumled backwards, tears edging her eyes. I'll never have him...He doesn't want me. She looked at him one last time before racing back to the woods, her paws going faster than they ever had, just so Talon wouldn't catch her. He is doing whats- No he is not! I don't need you now! She screamed inside her head at the spirits, it gave her a massive headache, but the heart ache could overpower it easily.

Talon watched as Nika bolted, guilt and regret washing over him. "NIKA! WAIT!" He bolted after her, he knew that he couldnt catch her but he tried, as the concreate ground ripped his pads, leaving his bloody paw steps behind him. He slowed to a stop and hung his head, his mind telling him two different things. To stop and let her go, and to race after her with all of his will, hanging his head, his eyes seeming dull he slowly limped back to the rest of the pack, his eyes not once looking up from the ground. The image of the tears welling up in the corners of Nika's eyes haunted him as he walked.

Nika's paw pads felt a little moist, but the adrenaline made the pain invisable. She kept running and pushed herself to go faster than she had ever ran before, she had to get away, she couldn't look him in the face again. The rejection made her heart felt like it was just squeezed by sharp claws, ripping holes into it until it was tattered, torn, and bleeding. She felt herself losing grip on the ground before tumbling over in the grass "I-I..." She tried to speak but her breath was cut short and shaky. After a few seconds of laying in the high grass the pain of her paw pads and from the fall set in, making her breathing worse.

The rain fell on her cheeks and made a small pool on her eye lid before it fluttered open, Nika looked around and noticed the sun setting and stood up, her legs shaky and her right one filled with pain. "I might as well get home before the rain gets worse." She whispered to herself as she began to limp home.

Talon limped home but stoppedd once he saw Nika, far away from him, but heading home as well. The sight of her in so much pain tortured him even more, looking down at the blood stained grass he closed his eyes and didnt move forward, he let the rain soake through his fur down to the skin, feeling the cold as if it was sinking into his bones. He took a couple steps back and curled up under a large bush, laying on his side and his head laying against the cold ground.

Nika shot Talon a sharp growl, how could he just break her like that, she thought they had something, all of the signs were so clear? But she thought wrong, he fooled her, put on a mask just to break her apart, but why? To gain power when she was weak, or just to hurt her? She limped over a fallen tree, probally fallen from a weather storm, and layed down under a tree in the middle of the pack, keeping a straight face.

Nisha woke, her sleeping being more like long naps. She refused to move though as she felt Rowan's head on her neck and his warmth around her. Her tail wagged softly side to side as she closed her eyes (but didnt sleep), and relaxed against him.


Nika's growl made Talon's heart break even more, but he got up and walked over to were Nika was laying. He growled and grabbed her by her scruff and pulled her away from the pack, he let her go and made sure she had no were to run. He looked into her eyes with his cold blue ones, for once using his height against her as he slightly looked down at her. Suddenly he lunged forward and nuzzled her strongly with all the love he could express, he pressed his chest against hers and nuzzled her back and shoulders, keeping her close. Then he stopped and turned around, walking a couple of steps he stopped but didnt look back. "You dont understand what you do to me....and how important you are to me...." he walked away from her, leaving his bloody prints behind. "But you and I...cant be....you need a higher ranking male to insure your spot as alpha." And then he bolted.

She looked at him with the coldest glare she had ever managed to give as he seemed to e challenging her, but before she could manage to speak she was drowned in his love, and she didn't mind. "I-I...." He was gone, leaving few words for her to hang on to, she layed down and sighed, trying to focus on his voice so she would never forget it. She didn't know when she would hear it again, or if she ever would. Nika glanced up and saw him running off, she wanted so badly to chase him and to tell him she loved him but her leg was in to much pain to do so, it was already hard to walk alone.

For the first time in Talon's life he pointed his muzzle to the sky and let a mournful how bubble from his chest and leave as a deep howl from his jaws. He lay down, his paw pads feeling like they were on fire and whimpered softly to himself. He sighed and lay his head once again back onto the cold ground, he licked the blood from his paws, trying to keep the choked up sensation away, and to keep the tears from sliding down his cheeks. Telling Nika, the female he would die to protect,do anything for, ...the she-wolf he loved..... that he couldnt be with her, was the hardest thing he had ever done.

Rowan felt Nisha move slightly and it jolted him awake, thinking she was being taken due to the fact that was what had happened in his nightmare. He looked down at the beautiful canine and let a soft and warm smile spread across his face before reaching down to lick behind her ear once.


Nika sighed as the howl split the air like a bullet, making sure it was to be heard. Her ears shot backwards as the pain from his voice hit her in the chest, leaving her gasping for her breath. "I must speak to him..." She whispered to herself. Nika pulled herself up by her two front paws then slowly brought her rear ones, where her injured leg was. She limped heavily at first but then got use to the pain and felt it die down slightly, so she could trot faster. Her nose twitched, searching for his sweet scent that reminded her of a pine tree, her favorite scent. After a few minutes of trotting through the woods she spotted him by a couple of trees, wild flowers spread throughout the area, but they wouldn't be there long since winter was coming. The sun reflected off his coat and off the bright yellow and blue flowers, making the whole scene breath taking. She was almost scared to walk out of the shadows and into the light, as if not wanting to ruin this picture of perfection. She waited a few more minutes before walking into the light, wanting to soak in the sight as much as she could, to burn it in her mind so it could stay with her. "Ta-Talon..." She whispered, cautiously stepping out of the darkness, light instantly making her coat and eyes glitter like diamonds.

Nisha looked up at Rowan once she felt his tounge run along the backside of her ear. She smiled at him and licked his nose in return. "Did you sleep ok?" she tilted her head to the side slightly, her tail still wagging happily.

Talon lifted his head up off of his paws and looked at Nika, had she come to punish him from laying a paw on her, the alpha, in a dangerous way? But after running thoughts away from his mind he really looked at her, each piece of fur on her beautiful coat caught the sunlight just right that made her seem to glow, her sparkeling eyes that once again filled him with warmth. He stood up but kept his gaze on a blue flower that was infront of his paws. He was filling himself with pain because he didnt run from her, but he couldnt bare the harsher pain from running from her. He tried to bring himself to look at her, but he could only raise his gaze to see her paws, any farther and his control would slip.

Nika sighed heavily, her chest praticly being thrown foward by the force, since she had been holding her breath until he moved. "I-I....I'm the alpha, the leader, the head hancho, and I have control over everything in the pack, but just not what dogs think, no one can help that. Not even the two-leg's science could. She laughed a little bit, but more of a mocking laugh. "We are fools to care what they think about us Talon, complete fools. " SHe shook her head, still letting out a smile rumble of sweet laughter. She looked up from her paws, her eyes soft with affection and a dash of seriousness. "I've loved you ever since I let you in my home, in my mother's pack, and into the hell hole I slept in. I loved you when we sang together on your first night in Leathal, I loved you when you were to shy to even speak to me, I loved you during every spat we ever had, I loved you when I had become head hunter, and then to leader, and I still do." Nika took a sharp and painful breath in, it felt like blades cutting into her throat. "I..love you." The words fell out of her mouth like trash out of a tipped over trash can, fast a slightly messy.


Rowan smiled one of his famous smiles again "I slept wonderfully, how about you?" He tilted his head to his side in question, waiting for her answer.

Nisha couldnt help herself from blushing lightly when Rowan smiled. "Best sleep I've ever had."

The minute Nika had started talking his hind leg took a step back but he was rooted into that spot after that. His mind running through all the memories he had. The memory of listening to Nika sing on his first night of being in the Leathal pack, and then him singing to her being the strongest. He lifted his head to look at the she-wolf, his eyes soften and for the first time in his life they looked warm instead of cold and harsh. "Nika...." He slowly waked over to her, looking slighty down at her. "I love you too."

Nika smiled softly, her eyes glowing warmly as she unsteadily to a step forward. Her legs were stiff, not wanting to fall in yet another trap of his, but her heart told her he was for real this time. No smoke and mirrors. She pushed her white muzzle into his chest, taking in a deep breath of his scent that she had missed so dearly since she could only admire it from afar. "Don't leave me...Please." Her voice was cracked and choked, as if she were crying, but no tears were shed in the clearing by her.
