"Do you really think Dad would allow that?" Biddy asked, her eyebrow raised. "If you really hate it, pretend to be sick or something, I don't know. Can't you stick it out for one day?"

Biddy sighed and rubbed her forehead with her finger in frustration. She slowly made her way back to the table Asher was at. She sat down with a sigh and laid her head down on the table, her arms hugging her hair.

Victor was sitting on the branch of a tree growing next to the sidewalk when he caught the scent of a human. A young one. Just as she passed the tree, Victor hopped down from hi spot and leaned against it's trunk leisurely. "Shouldn't you be in school?" he asked the girl.

Biddy groaned as she brought her head back up. "My sister!" she yelled. "She's so impossible! One day of school, that it, but, no. Not even one day."

Victor smirked at her and flicked a piece of hair out of his face. "School was never my thing," he said with a shrug. "But it looks like you've been trying it out." He eyed her bag.

"I've had to deal with just as much change as her," Biddy argured. "She's just got to be so dramatic over everything!"

Victor looked at the ground. What was he supposed to say? "My parents never really cared about me much," he said with a shrug.

Biddy sighed and rested her head back in hands. "I just don't know waht else to do," she said defeatedly.

"Well, I didn't have any plans," Victor said, shrugging away from the tree and taking a few steps towards Shay. "And I'm Victor. Nothing for short," he added with a smirk. He held out a hand toward her to shake.

"You don't know Shay," Biddy said. "Her figuring out something on her own is just asking for trouble. She has a knack for getting mixed up with some pretty dangerous stuff."

"Well, that depends," Victor said with a smile. "What do you want to do?"

"She's danger prone," Biddy said, trying to explain it. "I mean, it's not like she constantly falls down or anything, but she's a magnat for dangerous situations and people. She gets mixed up in things she shouldn't be on accident."

"Well, there's not much to show," Victor said with a shrug. "This is a pretty small town, as you've probably figured out by now."

"Heck, I don't know," Biddy said. "She doesn't like to talk to me about anything, and she hates me if I try to interefere with what she does."

"Well, there's plenty of interesting places that I know of," Victor said. "But I'm not sure yet which one you'd like the most."
