"Shay!" Nate said excitedly "where've you been babe? I've been missing you all night! Theres this bomb party goin on and I really want you to be here so I can show you off to all my pals." Nate said, with an obvious grin in his words.

Dev rolled his eyes at Nate and moved himself closer to Shay.

"Your grandparents?" You could hear the obvious dissapointment in his voice. "Well when will you be back, babe? You should really be at this party, I wanna spend more time with you." He cooed into the phone, distant laughter and shouts could be heard in the background.

"The whole weekend?!" Nate's voice errupted in the ear piece. "Shay you can't do that to me its not fair!" he said loudly. You could hear people in the background chanting "chug, chug, chug, chug" there was a pause and Nate said. "I gotta go, this isn't over Shay." Then Nate's line went dead.

Dev scooted closer to Shay, gently removed the phone from her hand and took her hand in his. "He won't touch you, I promise.." he whispered soothingly in her ear. "If you don't want to spend time with me you don't have too. I don't want to make you feel afraid." Dev didn't mean it in any guilt tripping way, he only wanted the best for Shay.
