"That's very kind of you," Cassie said, following Jonathan.

"Why do I have the feeling that we're walking into a trap?" Luna grumbled as she relunctantly folllowed the others.

"Becuse you can't learn to trust anyone," Garret said, who was just in front of Luna. "Not even your pack mates."

"Well, my pack mates are idiots," Luna retorted. "Someone needs to keep their eyes on dangers."

"So, you said you were in the fighting rings too, right?" Cassie asked. "What happened? How did you get out?"

Cassie stared at Jonathan's eyes, wanting to ask why they were that white color, but not having the guts to ask. "Oh," she said, looking away. "Our owner is still out there somewhere. We didn't hurt him. We just broke out our cages and out the back door."

Yes, there was contruction a few months ago," Cassie said. "They tried to disguise it better. Make it look more innocent."

"Yes, they do often forget we have working minds," Cassie said. "And it's a good thing too. For us at least."

Garret was the last to walk in. He looked around the cave. "This is a nice place. Are you sure there's room for all of us?"

Luna growled under her breath. "No better than those cages," she mumbled.

Garret took a seat in the only spot left open, beside Shay. He wasn't sure if this was the wisest thing to do, but what else could he do? He glanced at Shay, but looked down before she could catch and hold his eye.
