Hayumi looked at Xinal, all the heartbreak and lose poured into that one second glance.She looked away and shakily stood up and trotted towards her spot again.

Leara paniced. "I'm sorry, I wasn't going to harm you. Really I had been looking for food, but then I saw Dakiu, you call him? Is he really a Luna wolf?" Leara asked politly, but at the same time timid. She pondered about, even though she'd wager her guess that he was a Luna wolf had been right.

Freya listened to the newcomer. She tried to gauge this wolf by discerning the tone of her voice, her posture, and the behavior with which she moves about. She didn't seem much of a threat at the moment, and certainly her voice isn't giving away any hint of possible danger. Must be safe for now at least.

Freya followed her eyes to lay open the lounging Daiku, "Yes that is Daiku, Alpha of the WaterWolves, and currently joint alpha of this combined pack." She must have good hearing if she was able to hear me call Daikus name from a far. Then she had to get back to the matter at hand. She was still dealing with a stranger. She hated to sound cold but she needs to maintain her stature and demeanor. "But getting back on subject, who are you? And is hunting really your only purpose for being here? " You seem to know something about the legendary luna wolves. She wanted to add, but it was quite difficult to do so. Freya, though she may have the wrong concept, thought that luna wolves were part of the legend only between these two packs. Did the idea of Luna Wolves exist elsewhere as well?

Xinal quickly finished up his patrol and reporting, actually he ran through the whole procedure. When he did finish his duties and returned back to his spot. He glanced a moment over at Hayumi. He still wasn't sure what he did to elicit such bewildering gestures from her. Was she angry? or was she sad? He couldn't tell. Every so often it changed. His heart ached knowing that one of his friends is not treating him as such. But he shook his head.

"Maybe I just have to let it rest for a while." he told himself, "I need to calm down myself." He closed his eyes and stayed silent.

Moments later he decided to approach Hayumi and ask what was bothering her.

Hayumi saw Xinal appear from the forest after his duties, before all this she would've loved to go with but with her injuries, mental and physical.'I'm stupid, I shouldn't be this upset of a stranger I just met.I barley know him but yet I-no, I don't stop making a pup's fairy tale up in your head Hayumi!Stop it!Stop it please!' She screamed in her head, her eyes down at her paws.

"Well, no. I'm not here for hunting." Leara said firmly. "About a year ago stranger wolves attacked my pack. Everyone was killed, my parents and my siblings. I have wandered the woods since then... until I passed by here. I saw Daiku and came to see if he really was the Luna wolf. Don't take me as an enemy" Leara said pleadingly, her ears pushed down against her head.

Freya eyed her with guarded curiosity. Inside she felt the pity for her story, however still she has not answered her question. "I'm sorry to hear that." She muttered. Although with sincerity in her intention of saying it, it still came out as a monotonous reply. "I repeat myself: What is your name?" Freya was getting a bit skeptical to the innocence of this wolf since she wasn't giving her name. Was there something to hide with a name?

On his way to check on Hayumi he overheard a conversation. A small group of wolves were congregated and their topic matter seemed intersting. He angled his ears to pick up their voices.

"We can take over... a leader is all we need... someone to take the reign... I don't want anymore of this falloff from Granger's rule... she was under him when he ruled... perhaps she is secretly manipulating us..." And they mumbled on. Xinal veered away from Hayumi and made his way to the pack.

"My name is Leara" she said silently. Leara looked around at her surroundings. She felt a bit nervous about her being in a starnger terratory.

Hayumi's heart jumped as she saw him coming over but he turned around and returned to the pack.Sighing she turned over onto her back and looked at the clouds.

What clouded Xinal's mind no one would know. Was it his desire to mold the pack into a better group without restrains from Granger's rule? The desire to have the pack start over for a new beginning? Was it his attraction to Freya? Was it greed? Or possibly lust, not for a mate, but for power? He set a paw down beside the group of wolves and told them, "I can help." He barked to his new comrades, his eyes gleaming unnaturally.

Freya nodded, "Well, Leara," She muttered raising her tail a bit to show her dominance. "I suppose we could accomodate you." She glared down at her, with suspicion and with relief. Suspicion of an enemy, but at least she can have her be watched on the inside and not worry what wwould've been done outside. She turned about to lead her into the teritorry. She nodded to one of the wolfess, a silent order to keep an eye on the newcomer.

"Thinks are at least picking up." She told herself in an attempt to stay amused, "A few days ago nothing was happening at all." Then a form caught her attention, laying to the side. She turned to look and saw another wolf, relatively comfortable amidst the pack but she wasn't familiar with her scent. She approached the wolfess. The wolfess had sighed and started to look up at the clouds.

"I'm sorry to bother you. I don't believe we've met yet." She barked softly.

The injured she-wolf looked up at the female and almost growled but resisted, she had done nothing.She rolled back over to her feet and stretched her wings "I'm Nika, I'm kind of new around here, I came before you and Daiku had the meeting." She mentioned, her tail low.

Freya noted the emotion in the injured wolf's eyes. What emotion she wasn't sure, she wasn't the type to read emotions perfectly. Freya's ears pricked at the near instant reply. That was a little faster than Leara. She nodded her head as she realized that she would not have noticed any newcomers appear during the meeting. "Very well... Nika... I take it you came her to join a pack as well?" Now that she thought about it, she did notice her alongside Xinal during the conclusion of the meeting. "Mind if I ask who introduced you or brought you into the pack?" Honestly, a subordinate can not add new pack members. This was against the rules.

So many regulations and codes of conduct to follow! She metally sighed. All of this was starting to gnaw away at her mind. Is Daiku STILL lounging about? She asked herself desperately.

Nika looked at her "Daiku did." She said plainly, for some reason she felt life hiding her face from the world so she laid down and put her paws over her snout as she waited for the female to reply.

Freya stared at Nika in confusion. "Daiku?" Something wasn't adding up. She started to survey the young female wolf. Then again... she was probably overreacting. Freya decides to turn a blind eye to this. "Very well then." She barks before giving attention to the injuries of the young one. With unexpected warmth, like that of a mother, she asks: "Does it hurt?"

"Very well, the coup will start at dawn. Prepare yourselves." The voice ordered.
