Dev shook his head "its not her...I know its not her but it looks JUST like her...it was an instant thing...I-I didn't mean for it to happen!" Dev insited. "I'm sorry James..." he said, putting his head in his hands.

Alaska walked back in, cramping herself in the corner where Dev and James were."I'm sorry about Lilly Dev.." She whispered weakly, her eyes on the ground.The two were once close, but since he left it went down the drain in a matter of seconds.

"Thanks Al..." Dev muttered, remembering the old nickname that he used to call her. He glanced quickly at James and then stared at his hands. "Well...I did'nt mean to..." Dev mumbled, glancing up at Shay for a moment. "She's different, I think she'll accept me no matter what I am...I need to tell her James..."

"But James! She saw how quickly I can move and how strong I am! Didn't you see me smash that brick wall?" He asked, pointing to the pile of rubble that lay just next to him. "And I do have good taste James, you don't know her yet..." Dev said, reading James' mind.

"James! Wait!" Dev called, getting up off the ground and running toward James. "Why are you even hear James? Did you know where I was? How's my mom?" Dev rattled off question after question. He tried to avoid Shay though, he didn't want to loose his best friend, but there was no way that he could leave Shay.

"Whatever James, you don't need to go..." Dev said, reading his mind easily. "I thought you knew me better..." Dev joked, relieved that his mom was okay. "what do you need to leave for?" Dev asked, suddenly serious again. "Don't tell me you came all this way to say hi and leave..." he narrowed his eyes, putting on a hurt expression that he hoped would get to James.

Alaska slowly pressed herself to the wall, slowly sliding her way down."Where did he go Dev?" She whispered, her eyes down on the ground."He wants to be your friend, but he is just scared I think.." She muttered "He-He-he'll come back..right?" She whispered again, terrified of never seeing him again."I'm going." She hugged Dev tightly "Bye." She then was gone, in the forest."James!" She screamed, but it cam eout as a whispered.Everything did, a weak and choked whispered.She looked for a glimpse of purple, or even white..but none.No answer.She felt the cold rain on her skin, telling her to give up.But she pushed on, until it got dark.She tumbled over a tree trunk and stayed there."James...James...James...James.." She whispered.

Alaska smiled weakly and buired her face in his chest "I-I-I tried to look for you.." She whispered "We have to go back to Dev..He needs you right now James!You can't just leave your troubles behind..." She told him, remembering her friend.
