Maia sighed. "You're right. I hope she stays out of trouble though." She looekd at Poison. "Hey. Feeling beter?"

Josh nodded. "I don't like it. I've been feeling disgusting ever since the ugly man took me away from Papa." His eyes saddened at teh thought of his father.

"Tell me if you need anything," said Copper, before joinign Poison, Maia, and Blitz.

Poison smiled "I'm good..." She told them, her fur was still covered in blood."I'm taking another bath.." She said as she jumped into the lake.Blood coated it as she stepped out, her fur was glistening.

Blitz nodded. "Well I hope she learns to be calmer."

Luke whimpered. "Don't cry." he said. "That's all over now." he said. "You're a part of a pack now, one that cares about you."

Alaska heard them talking, her fur sleek and smooth and shiny now.It was even dry."I will..." She said as she sat down.

Blitz looked embearessed. "Sorry with saying that Alaska." he said. "I didn't want to insult you."

Luke nodded. "I'm glad to help." he said, smiling to his new friend. "And I'll be happy to be your friend."

Maia looked startled as well. "sorrry," she agreed softly.

Josh smiled and got to his paws. "That'd be great," he said his smile widening into a grin. He'd never had a friend before. He was too young while his mother was alive and he was too busy checking on his father afterwards.

Blitz turned to his parents. "Guys...I don't know when...but I want to free our pack from Grendel." he said. "Its not for revenge on Grendel, its because I can't stand the thought of my pack, the pack I was supposed to lead suffer like this." he said. "I want to stop Grendel because its the right thing to do, not for vengence."

"Over here!" yelled Luke to Poison, pointing to Josh. He looked to Josh. "That's the wolf that saved you from those dogs." he said. "Her name is poison."

Poison walked over to the pup and sniffed him "Yeah..thats me.." He told him, she wanted to cry, the pup looked so misrable..she felt so bad.Memories of her as a pup filled her head and she closed her eyes hoping they would be covered in the black shade she called home.But it didn't work, she clenched the ground as she watched the horror movie in her head, her locked in chains, blood splattering everywhere...

Josh reared up on his hind paws and licked Poison on the nose. "Thank you," he said. "I've been through a lot. My mother was hit by a truck adn then my father utrned away from me so my owners gave me to a mean man. You saved my life and helped me find friends who will look after me. Thank you."

Maia looked at htem as well. "And, please, can I help you? I don't know much about fighting but it isn't right for a pack to be taken over by a wolf as vial as Grendel sounds. Also, I cna heal injured wolves. I'll hlep in anyway possible." She looked at Blitz. "I'll stand by you through this battle."

Copper nodded. "I'm wiht ya. I want to get Blitz and his goons away from those innocent enough to still believe that the world is full of good and peace. I want to protect the pups of that pack from going through my fate."

Angel flicked an ear, her eyes soft as she gazed at teh intently. "You know what this would mean?" she asked htem softly, her voice like the whispering wind. "What the cost would be? It is dangerous, you may loose your lives." She sighed and closed her eyes. "But I will help. you are right. It is wrong of us to turn our backs on the pack that was once ours." She opened her eyes and gazed at her son. "I now follow you, my son."

Posion licked him back and smiled "I know how you feel....trust me..." She said as she opened her eyes back up, but the memories would always be there...she knew they would haunt her.She then looked at Blitz and smiled "I'll help.." She told him as she turned her attention back tto the pup "I was a fighting dog, I had to kill many dogs just to live that night...I was famous..." She remembered the papperazi sorrounding her after every win, cheering and their camera's flashing as she snarled for a picture.

Luke licked Poison's cheek. "You did that to live...but that's not who you are." he said. "I can tell, that's not who you are in your heart, you're much better than that."
