Sunfire blinked, growling to herself softly. She looked down at the snow covered cliff and started to quietly sing a little bit of a song she had heard a long time ago.
'I'm not a princess
this ain't a fairytale
i'm not the one you'll sweep of her feet
lead her up a stairwell
this ain't hollywood
this is a small town
I was a dreamer before you went and let me down
Now it's too late for you and your white horse
to come around...
Slowly she spread her wings and flew up after Freefall.

FreeFall slowed down a bit and matched SunFire`s pace, he didn`t want to leave her behind. FreeFall smiled to himself as he thought of all the good times he had with FireClaw, his true dad. FreeFall then thought about other things, like his childhood, he was always the underdog of the clan though. And he also thought of when he used to play pranks on ShadowFire, he then suddenly crashed into a red male dragon around his age, and they both fell to the ground.

"Hey, watch where you`re goin` freak." Growled the male dragon.

'You watch who your talking to punk, who do you think you are?' Sunfire growled, coming up beside Freefall and landing elegantly. She flexed her long claws and bared her fangs, she hated strangers, especially rude strangers. 'You had better apologize or I'm going to rip your guts out, i will take a long time and will be very painful I can assure you' she hissed, taking a threatening step towards the male.

"Wait, SunFire, it`s ok." Said FreeFall calmly, he then stared at this stranger. "ShadowFire?" He asked.

"Who else did you think it was, freak? The easter bunny?" Replied ShadowFire, he then glared at SunFire. "Watch yourself toots, or someone`s gonna get hurt."

"Hey, hey, hey, no need for any violence, let`s all just calm down." Said FreeFall.

'What did you just call me!' Sunfire said, shocked. 'Yeah, someone's going to get hurt, and it's going to be you' she snarled, walking up to 'Shadowfire' and staring him in the eyes. 'I keep my word, if you don't start apologizing then your guts are going to be all over this forest, you hear me' she growled, ramming her head against his aggressively.

At first, Wolfbane had no idea where Snowspirit's talk was taking them. He then stared into her eyes and suddenly felt his stomach tighten. So I see... That's why she's acting to strange now. But the thing is...do I even feel the same way about her? He then sighed, smiled, and slightly shook his head. "Well," he finally replied, "I think everybody's lucky in their own way. I mean...I have the coolest dad that anyone could ask for. And...well, I would count Freefall as lucky. We're all led by our own destinies. That's what my father told me when I became a full-grown dragon. He also told me that sometimes fate isn't as it seems." He looked back at Snowspirit, his eyes turning back to serious mode. "Maybe it's fate that brought us all together...that had brought you and me together...."

Snowspirit gulped, she could feel her whole body quivering and burning. She took another step towards him, she could feel his body heat, she could lick his nose if she wanted to. 'Does fate decide everything in our lives, or can we choose our own paths? Do other things help decide what we do in life, like luck, or...love?' she said in almost a whisper. She could still hear in her head Wolfbane saying Maybe fate is what brought you and me together.

Wolfbane then thought about cowering away, to stay on task and help out his friends. But he jsut couldn't help the fact that Snowspirit was strangely attracted to him. That he was... He shook his head clear and just focused on answering her questions, his eyes looking on straight ahead. "I guess it depends," he finally replied with a slight shrug. "I guess it depends on weither or not you want to do it yourself. As for me...well, I pretty much want to follow in my father's footsteps, like he did when he was young. It all depends on what you want to do the most...."

"Whatever, I say sorry to you, ok, but do you expect me to say sorry to a freak?" ShadowFire growled, but then he started to laugh. "You totally thought!---" He was cut off by a large grizzly roar. He hid amongst the bushes and trees.

"Why are you hiding from a grizzly?" Asked FreeFall, he was now fully confused.

"I played a prank on him when he was sleeping, and made him mad n now he`s lookin for me, old man grizzle." Replied ShadowFire.

"Oh man, old man grizzle? Hah, when someone gets him mad he---"

"I know I know!" Snapped ShadowFire.

"Er, cmon SunFire, let`s just go, he`s too weird, besides, we don`t wanna be around when old man grizzle comes." Whispered FreeFall.

Snowspirit stared into Wolfbane's eyes, she saw the reluctance and fear, she realised she had made a mistake. Quickly and awkardly she backed away from him, but inside she could feel herself ripping apart. 'Well, I suppose fathers are great role-models, and I hope you get to be as successful as he has,with leading the clan and everything' she muttered, trying not to reveal her sadness in her voice. She turned around and spread her wings, preparing to fly back to her clan's den.
'Ugh, men, they are so stupid sometimes' Sunfire growled, beating her wings a few times so she was hovering just above the ground. 'Grizzly bears can rip a dragon to pieces, I hope he gets you' she called to Shadowfire, and flew a little higher but waited for Freefall.

Wolfbane heard the sadness and disappointment within Snowspirit's voice, and he suddenly felt guilty. "Wait," he said, walking over to her side before she could take off. "Look," he added with a heavy sigh. "I'm sorry... It's just that...I've never felt this way about anyone before. It's like you're my only friends again, and well...I probably sound like an idiot, don't I?"

FreeFall followed SunFire, and before long, he had spotted WolfBane and SnowSpirit. "WolfBane! SnowSpirit!" FreeFall called. FreeFall then turned to look at SunFire, her golden scales seemed to shine like real gold in the sunlight. FreeFall snapped out of his trance only to crash straight into a big old oak tree. "Oof! Ow!" He shouted all the way down before landing with a thud on the ground. "I`m gonna feel that tomorrow." He muttered. He picked himself up off the ground, and shook the snow off of his head. 'I hope they didn`t see that, especially SunFire, she`d probably think I`m an idiot.' Thought FreeFall.

Sunfire watched as Freefall crashed into a tree. Idiot she thought, but quite funny, why was he staring at me like that? She swooped down and landed next to Freefall, folding her wings against her body slowly. 'What are you doing all the way down here, I thought we were meant to be flying' she said, with a hint of a laugh in her voice.
'No, you don't sound like an idiot' Snowspirit said, tucking her wings in again. A brief spark of hope lit inside her. 'And what do you mean by you've never felt this way about someone before?' she asked quietly, preparing herself for feeling stupid again.

Wolfbane just laughed at himself and smiled back at Snowspirit, trying to make sense as he finally got the words to say out of his mouth. "Well," he said with a heavy sigh. "What I meant was...I was never this close to anyone except for my father. There's nobody in my clan that I could really talk to but him. And you're only the second..."

FreeFall shook his head from side to side rapidly. "Uh, I just crashed into the tree, thats why I`m down here." He replied, he could tell she thought it was funny, but dare not read her thoughts again.
