Shani spotted the herd of caribou, but there was a very LARGE bear very close by, closer than the caribou were.Shani said to Xavier in a strong and powerfull voice without looking at him, keeping her eyes locked the huge bear''You get the caribou, I get the bear."Shani knew what he was going say, no its to risky for you, I will get the bear you get the cariou That is what every male said to her, everytime.

Talon was shocked by Shasta's aggressive behaviour, she had always been so quiet and sweet tempered, but now she was growling at everything. Talon was so upset by all these revelations that she whispered to Tytia 'i'm going to tell them the truth, this is too painful.' She looked sadly at the two girls, 'Adriana, Shasta, come here and i'll explain it all.'

Xavier didn't like the idea. He had seen her already take down a bear before, but this one was bigger. He snarled, "Be safe, don't get to cocky. Call me for help if you need it." He shook her head, feeling like it was a bad idea. Xavier lunged forward in a dead run, making a half circle shape around the bear and flashing towards the other prey. His brown mixture fur fllying over the snow.

Emuku joined Tytia and Talon, who were sitting before the two females. He gave them a comforting look as he licked both their heads. " Adriana...Shasta. You two are greatly loved by this pack. No matter what happens in the days to come you two shall always be loved in all of our hearts." he said softly to the young wolves. He toke a step back so he was sitting with his Alphas. " And with that in mind I want to ask you two one thing before the whole truth is said to you, dont hate the Moonclaws or Tytia and Talon. They only want what is best for you." he said. With a glance to Tytia and Talon Emuku bowed his head and left the rest to the Alphas to tell.

Talon sat down and signaled for everyone else to sit down too. She took a deep breath and started her story. 'A long time ago, your real mother was part of this pack, her name was Hispeth. But she was exiled for reasons I would rather not say, we would have killed her but she swapped her life for that of her first born child's, you. We took you away when you were too young to remember anything, but instead of killing you we kept you as part of our pack. And now we fear that your mother and the pack she is now Alpha of, the goldeneyes, are coming to take you away from us.' Talon stared softly at her adopted daughter and tears leaked over the edges. 'We love you so much Adriana, me, your father and the whole pack. All I want is for you to stay with us if they come for you. What more could I ask?'

Adriana couldn't believe what was happening. Her whole world was falling apart before her eyes.... she felt her mother and father's paws on her shoulder, comforting her...but this wasn't her mother and father....she shrugged them off, blinking back the tears she could feel coming thick and fast.
Tytia and Talon weren't her parents.
Shasta wasn't her sister.
This wasn't her pack.
She began to shake violently as a wave of emotion swept through her.
Tytia saw her shaking and pressed his lips to the side of her head, in an comforting sort of affection.
"They're right. We all love you here, and we never ever want you to leave. Or Shasta. You will be in our hearts always, whatever choices you make in life." He smiled at her. "Come on...lets do a bit of hunting. You want to get some practice in before your ceromony, don't you?"
Hispeth saw Angel and called to her. "Shani and Xavier have gone hunting past the hills over there. If you hurry you might catch them!" Then she settled herself on the ground, grating her claws along the dirt in satisfaction. Tommorow morn she would have her revenge.
Adriana swallowed bravely and nodded, and rising to her feet she followed her father. "Anyone who wants to come, can." she added, grinning.

Talon sighed with relief at Adriana's reaction to all this. She wanted to stay, after all that had happened, Adriana wanted to stay. Before Tytia and Adriana left to go hunting Talon called 'Adriana, now that you have decided to stay, can I have the pleasure to call you my daughter, and mean it?'

Adriana smiled. "You always have done, so why can't you do it now?" Then with a nod she turned and left the clearing.
Tytia was pleased that Adriana followed him, and let out a small secret sigh of relief. They walked and walked, at perfect peace with eachother, and came out of the forest into a large rocky plain. In the distance was a mother and calf elk, standing side by side, grazing, oblivious to the two wolves who instinctively crouched on their bellies, ears flat against their skull.
"Now, you have to wait until the mother is distracted slightly, before you make a move for the calf. He'll be hard to approach with the mother protecting him, but you can do it if you are patient and wait for an opppurtunity." He noded at Adriana and she nodded back, to show that she understood. The two of them fanned out in a large cirlce, keeping low to the ground and down wind of the elk so they didn't cacth their scent.
Once the mother was content that they were perfectly safe, she wandered a little distance to scratch herself against a tree, and the calf too was preocuppied, chasing after a little yellow butterfly. Tytia and Adriana advanced closer and closer, but Tytia was only there on the sidelines, it was up to Adriana what time she would strike and what tactics she would use.
Adriana's eyes were focused intently on the calf, analysing his every move. Suddenly she felt a perfect chance, and her heart lurched as she lept into action! She sprinted towards the calf, pounding the snow. But she must have chosen just a second too late, because the calf saw her out of the corner of its eye and screamed, and before she knew what was happpening the mother pummled into her like a gigantic tank, her great hooves slamming Adriana into the snow.
In a flash Tytia was there, standing over her body, his jaws bared, teeth and claws flashing in the sun, bravely facing the danger. The huge elk reared and took a swipe at Tytia, but he dodged and sank his fangs into her chunky leg. She gave a yelp of pain and in a second her and her calf were thundering through the trees, fleeing away and out of sight.
Tytia began to panic. He could see bright crimson seeping onto the snow and staining the ground. Desperatley he licked his daughter, trying to get her to wake up. But she remained silent, her eyes closed and her body still. He heard a gentle beating sound and to his delight- her heart was still beating! She was alive! But she was losing blood fast. Quickly he slung her delicte body over his strong back and began to move as fast as he could back to the den.

Shani rolled her ice blue eyes at the show off as she bolts towards the bear, she looked into the bear's wild, scared, and bewildered eyes as she gave it a cold look.Shani then jumped behind a bush when it turned around.Bears are so stupid Shani thinks as she watches it jerk his head around thumbling around looking for her, then she burted out of the bush onto the bear, she brought it down in a few bites.But he was falling back on her.Shani was now being crushed underneath the large creature."Help!Help!Xavier!Help!"Shani screamed into the forest.

Xavier had just taken down a buck when his ears twitched and he shot up his bloody muzzle. "Shani..." He growled, upset because he knew it had been a bad idea. He shot like an arrow back towards where he had left her. He flew past Angel, "Come with me, now!" He barked in a harsh tone, feet flying over the cold icy snow, white specks flying. He spotted Shani and the bear. It was starting to fall back onto Shani. Xavier cursed in his head. "Np!" He bellowed and ran quicker, leaping into the bear's body and latching on, hopefully to make it tip and fall in a different direction then to fall onto his friend.
