I'm in college right now, living in an apartment. Every time one of them walks by, I feel like I have to minimize this forum x_x

Nobody knows I like Balto. Not even my sister. Whenever I try to tell my family, I go like "...... I forgot what I was about to say! ^^' "

-.-' It's really hard keeping it a secret, especially since every now and then, my parents checks the log on websites I've been on (we all go through one router), and I have to hack into the router every day to delete the traces =/

Well, at least I get logical practice.

So, it's a yes for me. Still working on admitting it though (will probably be when I order Balto plushies, the three movies and other balto stuff, that goes through mail).

Well it's sort of a secret, but i dont work that hard to deny everyone the knowledge about it. My parents let me be a fan of anything i like so, it's not too big of a secret to them. They still dont know about it though.

But most of my friends make fun about what i like so im doing my best to keep it a secret to them.

A secret? Heck no. Everyone knows (or if they don't I wouldn't be ashamed to say it to them) that I'm obsessed with animation, including Balto!

Only my family and my closest friends know I like Balto. If the rest of my grade found out, they'd probably start bugging me about it. I find it too risky to mention Balto to anyone, but I guess others may not me surprised since the know I love wolves .

You know, its not like your coming out and telling people your gay. This is almost sad, its a film. I really don't think people, especially your college room mates are going to care that much if they see you watching Balto. A lot of people like animation, its really not that big of a deal. Everyone knows I like animation, wolves and all that. I sit in class and doodle, I've drawn Balto before. Most people just point and say, "OH! Oh! That's a dog from from that movie right?" Its not that big of a thing to admit. Its a cartoon, I really don't think saying, "Oh by the way, I like Balto." will alter your life.

I can just almost imagine a scene

Actually, people really do judge that way. My roommates were threatening me last week. We got in the typical college fight (I got my shoes peanut-buttered and had my room vandalized). That has nothing to do with Balto, but really, people around 14-23 are very, very sensitive to reputation.

Even if they have nothing against kid's movies, they still may make fun of you just to enhance their reputation. Maybe the people you hang around don't care, but many others do. I've got two roommates, and one of them is constantly trying to impress the other.

I'm not a very subtle or witty person, so anyone who've noticed, primarily my parents, then my friends because I keep spilling it out, I must have made it obvious to them, like this foster kid knew I liked Balto showed me it every time it was on, one time my mom was like "Don't go on Balto or Sims, because you do it to much", I admit that once I wrap my energies around something it is hard for me to let go. My family and friends, put my interests at respectable levels, they don't really say anything about it unless I get crazy about it. I have tried to fool myself I can make up and hide it but like I said. My friends are like, oh its just a dog or my parents (this is implied through) are like thats a Disney movie. Well in my area, most people don't know what it is, and know it or not, its the same thing "oh its that dog.....", Balto lead me to liking dogs and wolves, and that was an extension, so my family and friends know I like dogs and wolves, well anybody I've made that clear to won't be surprised if I like Balto, if they know what it is, by high school, I don't think anybody knows, i haven't announced it for the effect of it being dismissed.

I would like to point out, isn't hiding what you like or dream of ironic to the theme to balto?

It depends on why you actually like the movie. I like it because it's moving and touching. That's called idealism. The real world isn't full of idealists and noble people like Balto. You can say that I like the movie because of how little it represents the real world. Hence, I'll hide my love for the movie from the real world.

Then the joke's on the people that make fun of it, they either watch or do worse things, how the world runs, your right and I guess it is nice to hold on to a little love and happiness, what I am saying is that maybe that how you feel is like Balto felt , the persecution, but also the wish to do right, be noble, yeah I see what you are saying.

All my friends know I'm obsessed with Disney, and a LOT of people I know like other movies like other movies (Anastasia, for example, everybody I know loves that movie), but I'm not so sure about this movie... it's one of the lesser known classic animated movies... :\

No, I'm pretty open with my obsessions with the exceptional fact that I hide from my family that I am obsessed with furries.

I hide it from my school friends, some people from another online community I'm on generally shares their anthro art anyways, but I obviously can't hide it from my family XD. So, yes and no.

I'm also heavily into animation, but not too many know that.
