The mutt shrugged. "I was just told to bring those to you."
"But you were here earlier." Duke noted.
"Was i?" the mutt questioned with full sincerity. "I forget where i go i go so many places in one day.."

Warbler looked closer at the tags, then let out a small gasp.
"T-These are Prince's Duke..." she muttered. "Whl were they for? Me or him?" she questioned, glancing at duke.

"You," the mutt said to Warbler. "I was told to give em to you."
Duke looked at the tags and folded back his ears.

Warbler simply stared at the metal tags, before blinking back tears.
"I-..I need to find Prince." She said quietly, picking up the tags and looping them around her neck.

"I dont think..you should.." the mutt said, raising his head a little.

Warbler frowned, huffing.
"Why not?" she growled, glancing back at the pups-who were sleeping soundly.

"He's probably gone by now anyway." he explained.

"Gone where?!" She asked, looking at Duke.

"Ya know.." he said. "Gone. My alpha said whoever got him, got him good."

Warbler felt her heart practically stop beating.
"G-gone..." she echoed. "I'm going to find him. Duke stay here and watch the pups." She ordered, and with that, she ran off.

Warbler ran through the woods, her nose glued to the ground, urgently trying to pick up on Prince's scent. She perked once she found it, and immediantly bolted off jn the direction it took her.

Duke didn't even have time to object before Warbler took off.

Prince's scent was faint, mixed with plenty of other wolves and most of all, blood. The end of the scent trail led to a stream. But instead of Prince, a smaller wolf sat there, staring off into the water.

Warbler trotted up to the she-wolf, glaring slightly.
"Where's Prince?" she questioned.

The wolf didn't respond at first. When he turned to glance at Warbler, she could easily see it was Princey.
"I kinda figured you'd find me here." he shrugged.

Warbler glared at him, huffing, making the chains jingle slightly around her neck.
"I don't care where to find you! Where is Prince?" she asked, her voice hinted with desperation.

Princey turned to face her completely, he was covered in scratches and bite marks. "Gone." he repeated the word of the messenger. "Prince is gone. Don't bother looking for him."
