Carmen caught the book and gave Dymitri a glare, then cleared her throat and read alloud, "Dear Journal, there's not much I can say except that this may be my final entry. After the cave-ins, the boys have cleared away some rubble, and they found traces of dynamite. Big Dog and Tin Can both think someone did it on purpose, so I'm getting the hell out of here asap. I don't know what those bombers were looking for or what, but there's been rumours about some scientist guy and a bunchload of kids. What that has to do with anything, I've no clue. Carmen fished out the business card they looked at back at the coffee shop for WideWorld Industries, then held it beside the logo on the back of the journal. "As I expected..." she mumbled.
