"Okay good." Carmen praised, keeping a close eye on the fire. "Now what I want you to do is..." she pointed at a nearby rock, the one she had been leaning on earlier. "Let's see how big of a fire you can make. Just let it all out on that rock, that way no one gets hurt."

Carmen jumped backwards, even farther away from Damien, since her previous distance wasn't enough to escape the giant flame he'd just shot from his hands. She stared wide-eyed at the huge pillar, amazed at the raw power this boy possessed.

Carmen shielded herself from the flames, and when it had finally died down and was over, she peeked over at the rock. "Dang.."

Kyler caught Damien in her arms, then slowly kneeled down and placed his head on her lap, just like she always did, since she wasn't all that strong. She brushed the hair out of his eyes. "Yes love?"

Kyler bit her lip. She knew full well that if Damien ever got mad at her.. no, she couldn't think like that. She leaned down and kissed his forehead. "Just rest." she told him quietly.

Kyler moved so she was sitting cross-legged, then continued to stroke his hair as he slept. "I'm gonna stay here with him awhile, okay?"
Carmen shrugged. "I guess that's fine.."
