Hey! More previews, cool!
I quite enjoyed the third one (though I can't shake the feeling that something really bad is about to happen); that was one heck of a cliff hanger. The first one really intrigued me, I can't wait to see where this leads.
Though, I feel like I've read the second before. I think you previewed a slightly different one earlier, but in any case, well done!

Yeah - the third fic snip definitely is a cliff hanger . . . that and I have yet to complete the prologue . . . hahaha.

The first one is on the way to becoming halfway finished (and by then, I'll post the whole thing on BS, not in parts like other ones).

ANd yes, the second one is a new and improved Prologue of the one you reviewed on its own thread. I wanted to put the next chapter up, but I think I'll let you guys be surprised once I complete all of ACT I! I hope you don't mind that!

Other than that, I've got nothing else . . . been working on fics when I can, but I'm not sure when my popular "Sparkle in Your Eyes" will be completed yet . . . please be patient with me, okay?

See, this is why I have no life - I write way too much.

I hope you like it! It's confusing if you haven't read any of RTW's fics, but I try my hardest to catch readers up if they have yet to read them yet . . . aren't I nice?

Oh, I understand that perfectly (I try to respect the fact that not everyone likes those sorts of things . . . that's why I write many different types of stories). When it comes to . . . *cough* those things, I only give a brief summary (a paragraph or less, depending on how important that memory of the past tends or needs to be . . .) but it's only to catch people up on certain characters (like Saba, Everest and some Balto and Jenna too . . .), that's all. That's the job of the first part of any story, after all . . . I promise that in the remainder of the story, it's mainly new stuff, focusing more on the events of the present storyline, not of the mistakes of the past . . . okay, maybe a couple.

- "Destiny of the Small": How exactly did Muru become a spirit guide, let alone the one of Balto's wolf-like daughter? This is his life story . . . (Up to Piece III is up, both on BS and FFN)

But that's off-topic - I have a quick update for you guys!

- Jadze: The Blessed Curse: ACT II is almost complete, but I've been working on future chapters in later Acts too! I will only say this: After Act II, things will start to get more dark and evil . . . all while heroes will start to fall, both physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Ooh, I can't wait to finish this for you guys!

I haven't been writing much lately, due to me going back to school and my Lappy getting a hold of some scamming-antispyware (that I, thankfully, got rid of a week later! Hooray!), so please be patient with me on the finales of some of your favorite stories! (Although, I might post the finale of "Sparkle" on Valentine's Day 2009 . . . what do you guys think?)

Anyway, it's good to hear from you, Juuchan. And yes, posting Sparkle on Valentines Day, 2009 would definately work. February 14th is a long time to wait, but Sparkle is worth it.

10/2/08: And I'm still not dead, dudes. XD (Just really, really, really, busy. School, possible work, sleeping and lounging around at home . . . yeah.)

And because I love you guys, here's a little snippet from "StarCrossed" . . . (Romeo & Juliet, Balto style!)

(If you know the basic story of "Romeo & Juliet," this will make perfect sense.)

“Oh, Doc . . .” Jenna wept with her head deep against the cleric canine’s neck. “I . . . I shall never marry him . . . Never!”

They were alone now, just the two of them in the back room of the cathedral. Only moments ago as Jenna pretended to pray for good wishes for her unwanted vows in the morning after next, her future suitor, the malamute Steele, entered with a pleased expression on his face.

“I see you are readying yourself for the wedding, am I right?” he smirked, leaning in for a nuzzle. “For such a lovely lady . . . and soon-to-be wife, you amaze me with your quaint actions.”

“I am not your wife yet,” Jenna murmured back to him, trying her best to hide her face from him, clear with the signs of discontent. Although he was rather charming to the eyes, she did not feel at all comfortable by his side. “Please . . .”

“Ah, your motions speak louder than you do, Jenna my dear,” Steele backed away from her, knowing that perhaps he should wait until the wedding ceremony before getting too cozy with her – he was in a church after all, and such actions were not considered appropriate in a holy place as this. “I know you are still hurting from losing Togo, your dear cousin, but I promise that by Thursday, you shall cry no more.”

Although his words were kind towards her, Jenna was not in the mood for being around the lead dog much longer and quickly changed the subject. “Father, are you free for confession right now?” She turned to the Saint Bernard-hound mix, hoping to get away and freely release herself from the misery she locked inside. “I apologize for the urgency, but I must be off to rest soon.”

“Oh, why yes,” Doc replied, gazing at the female, then turning to the larger male. “I hope you don’t mind, but I must be alone with her.” He gestured his nose towards the back door. “Please excuse me, Steele.”

“None at all, Father,” He lowered his head respectfully and made his way to the door to leave, but left a parting message to his future bride. “I will come for you Thursday morning, my love . . . and then we will be joined in marriage, Jenna. Until then, good night.”

Both of them allowed Steele to exit before Jenna ran to a corner of the room and loudly sobbed. The elder hound made his way over to her side, offering his shoulders to cry on.

“Hush, child,” the hound muttered, trying to calm the young dog down. Now was not the time for her to weep, and he knew that very well.

“Oh, God is angry with me,” Jenna sobbed, collapsing in agony with pain filling her heart. “But I cannot marry Steele . . . Balto, my banished love, is and will be my only husband . . .” However, her words after that were almost hard to understand from her constant weeping.

“Child, child,” The deep-voiced Doc lifted her elegant head with his paw as she sniffled. The two of them gazed eye-to-eye as he began to calm her tears. “Dry your tears, sister. Things shall work out for you – God knows that.”

“No, no . . . NO!” Angered, she barked, lifting herself up from her weeping and towards a dangling sword hanging from the wall. “I’d rather kill myself and condemn me to Hell than marry that Steele!” She leaned herself close to the sharp blade, hoping that a fateful wind would rock it from its perch and plummet into her breast. Of course, a breeze shifted it off from the hanging, causing it to fall towards the ground. With tightly-shut eyes, Jenna waited for the sword to end all of the torment, all of the wicked pain of loss she had felt within the past short hours . . .

“No!” Doc rushed forward and lunged to push Jenna to safety, much to her dismay. The sword landed on the floor, rigidly standing where the young mourning husky once stood.

“Why didn’t you let me die?” Jenna asked him, still upset by her failed suicide with even more tears streaming down her face. “Death is better than this – a life without my true love is one not worth living . . .” She sniffled and fell back onto the ground in sorrow.

Doc looked worriedly at the sobbing husky, his thoughts roaming at the situation. I thought that joining Balto and Jenna in marriage would end this feud . . . With the Capulet wedding of Jenna and Steele in a day’s time, I fear . . . I fear more sadness to the dear girl . . . He sighed, hearing the soft sniffles of the beautiful creature. If only there were something I could do to make her happy . . .

It was at that moment that the idea hit him. “Eureka! I’ve got it!” Doc rushed to his private corner of the room, where his collection of herbs and plants awaited him. The husky pricked her ears up and lifted her head from her crying, curious to learn of this plan that the wise canine was scheming.

It’s risky, but . . . He looked up from his shuffling paws with the healing ingredients at the amber-hazel eyes of Jenna and found himself able to smile as he continued his work. But for her happiness, . . . it’s a risk that I’m sure will be worth it for those two . . . True love shall withstand everything . . . I pray God will make it so . . .

“Jenna, I know that your heart yearns for Balto,” Doc spoke to the Capulet, still working on his business, but there was a understanding tone in his wise yet gruff voice. “and I believe I have a way that will allow you two to be happy once again.”

Jenna let out a gasp at the thought. “How?” She knew that Balto was forever banished from Nome – there was no way they could be together with her now that she was to be married in a matter of a couple of days! “Please, if there is any way to do so, tell me!”

“Patience, . . . patience, child,” Doc lightly chuckled, but talked still with a tone of wisdom and cautiousness. “As a master of herbs and healing plants, I know of many mixtures that can heal and harm . . . This particular elixir is one that I rarely make, but it may help for this dilemma . . .” The husky moved closer to him, eager to learn more about this plan of the canine cleric. “By swallowing this small amount of potion, a frozen sleep shall bind you, almost like the touch of death . . . Your color will grow pale, blood shall cease to flow as your heart will silence; not a breath will you take, for others will mistake you as dead . . .”

All at the thought those vivid descriptions, Jenna’s confidence seemed to fade as a shudder blazed through her body like a cold chill. She didn’t understand why it scared her, but the reaction was natural for one so young.

“However, in a day’s time, you will awaken as if you were in a deep sleep . . . but before then, I will send notes to contact Balto and tell him of our plan,” Doc completed the strange serum, holding it carefully in a front paw. “By the time you wake in the church, I shall have Balto with me and together, you two shall be free to live out the rest of your days in the wild, where the laws of Nome can never divide you again. Hopefully after that, I can get a pardon from Morse, and the two of you will be able to return to your families, together ending this long feud with one another . . . forever!”

Just hearing that Balto would see her wake up by tomorrow night made Jenna forget her previous fears. “You’ve convinced me – despite my fears, my love for Balto will help me through.” Doc handed her the vial of the strange mixture, which she placed safely in her bandanna.

“Now, be brave, child,” the hound advised the naïve husky with caution. “Make sure that you are alone when you drink this potion, and make sure that no one knows of our plans, okay?”

“Yes,” Jenna nodded. “Thank you, Father.” She bowed her head to quickly pray, thinking of this plot to reunite her with her love.

O God, please be with me and my beloved this next nights . . .

Wow.
First off, it's great to still hear from you, Juuchan! Great to know you're still writing.
Second, wow again. You've certainly stuck to the Romeo and Juliet feel of the story. The word choice really reflects it. The entire conversation with Jenna and Doc was great!
This'll surely tid me over long enough.

Yeah . . . it sucks that that scene isn't for a couple more chapters. XD I've been working on different scenes of the story while actually watching different renditions of the story (3, to be exact. XD). However, the other stories are starting to be put on the back-burner . . .

*sigh* Life is full of choices . . . and choosing totally sucks.

I'll update once Act II of "Jadze" is finished and (hopefully - cross your fingers!) posted on the site!
