Skylar watched the birds hastily making their nests in the trees above them, Nixon walking through the forest caught Skylar's attention. Nixon was a big wolf, very beautiful though. He had a very beautiful pelt, all of great colors.

OOC::// I made a forum for Firefly and Nixon.

"You'll see," Loki said to Firefly. After a while, the wolves stopped on a short, cliff-like hill overlooking a field of coniferous trees and, below, was a family of three grizzly bears: A mother and her two cubs. The mother had killed a male caribou and was watching her cubs eat it.
Sitting down, the Alpha looked at Firefly. "Your job, female," he said lowly. "Is to get the bears away from the kill. Loki will help you."
Loki nodded and kept a straight face.
"Do not fail me," the larger male said and walked past them.

Fear struck deep in Firefly's gut, making her feel uneasy. She gazed down at the bear, saying something to herself. Firefly swallowed hard and looked at Loki, noticing how chill he was about it. She could tell that the bear was in no mood to give up her kill, especially not to any wolves. Her body shook as she thought of how the bear might attack or defend her cubs. She had never went up against a bear before.

Loki noticed Firefly shivering and nuzzled her reassuringly. "Don't worry," he mumbled. "I've done this many times before; I'll distract the adult and you guard the kill from the cubs." He glanced down at the smaller bears.
"They shouldn't be too much trouble. Come on!" The collared canine jumped the few feet to the ground, crouched down low, and crept towards the bears.

Firefly still had her doubts but she ran after him, looking at how cute the cubs were. Firefly crept along side him. She swallowed down her fear and put her game face on. She let out her very first snarl once she knew Loki had the mom distracted. She leapt over the dead animal and landed in front of the cubs. Baring her teeth and charging them. That wasn't like her at all.

Before the mother bear could react, Loki had snapped at her heels, driving the bear forward and away from the kill and Firefly. That didn't last long though, and the beast roared and threw herself at Loki; luckily, the wolf evaded her attack by hopping to the side and turning back around to latch onto the mother's back.

Firefly kept her anger towards the cubs, blocking them whenever they came towards the kill. She snarled deeper, biting one cub's ear as he wouldn't back down. Firefly felt sad for him. All he wanted to do was eat and she was depriving him of his right to live.

Loki released the bear just as her gigantic paw swiped at his face. He wasn't quick enough and cried out in pure pain as four sharp claws slashed across his forehead. Loki fell to the ground, blood dripping from his face and into his eyes, blinding him from the angered bear advancing towards him.

Firefly heard his yelp, seeing her friend injured. She ducked over in front of the mother bear, stiff and angry. Firefly snarled deeply, meaning it this time. She charged the bear, grabbing a hold of her shoulder and thrashing. Next Firefly hurried to let go, rushing over to Loki and licking him over the eyes so he could see. She guarded him and the kill.

Angel looks at the sky and smirks. She licks Skylar and smiles.

This is angel right know!^^^^

Loki's sight was now a bit better and the male stood on shaky legs to see the mother bear approaching Firefly slowly. Loki let out a vicious snarl and charged the bear, biting into her legs and refusing to let go.

Rockefeller and his hunters finally returned to the Vanished Dream pack member. He and a few others were dragging a dead moose behind them.

Firefly jumped over at the cubs, sending them tumbling over each other. The cubs hurried over to the forest, climbing the nearest tree they could get to. Firefly stood on her hind legs, trying to get to the cubs. Or act like she was. She jumped up, nearly grazing the cub's fur. She barked and snarled, driving them higher up the tree.

Angel smiled and nuzzled Skylar.

Skylar nuzzled her in return, laying his head down to rest on the cool ground below him. He felt a wierd thing moving around under his stomach and lifted up. There was a huge beetle trying to work it's way out of his fur. Skylar pushed and pushed the beetle until it fell on the ground and scurried away.

"Alpha!" Rocky called, looking for Angel. "We've succeeded on the hunt!" Suddenly, howls erupted from the mouths of the pack members, making Rockefeller feel pride swell inside his chest. The dark colored wolf held his head high and wagged his tail.

"Firefly, come back!" Loki called. The mother bear roared in annoyance and hobbled towards the tree where her cubs were. She had lost this battle.
