"Prince hasnt been the most behaved wolf in the woods. That's how he got his name Diablo." Wolf explained. "It means devil in spanish."
"Caaan't we leave the past behind us?" Prince begged.

Warbler pushed a rock in Prince's mouth, and leaned forward.
"What'd he do?" she asked wolf, cocking her head.

"Oh there's a list," Wolf huffed as she watched Prince. "He was the cause of every problem for months in the woods. He hurt so many wolves..killed a few."
Prince dropped the rock onto the ground. "On accident!"
"They weren't all accident's Diablo."

Warbler's mouth fell open in shock.
"You killed somebody?" She backed up warily.

"No Warbs.." Prince lowered his ears. "It's not like that.."
Wolf nodded and continued on. "Oh yea. He beat the guy senseless first, then killed him cold blooded. Then denied that he even talked to the guy. He was a sneaky little liar."

Warbler backed up, and had little tears in her eyes. She snatched up Iggy and bolted out of the cave.
"YOU SAID YOU WEREN'T LIKE MY PARENTS PRINCE!!" She yelled, her voice fading the end.

"Warbler wait!" Prince called jumping to his feet, then he whirled about on Wolf. "Thanks a LOT!"
"Well i didnt know she'd flip out," Wolf said. "Sorry."
Prince growled ran out the cave, trying to catch Warber.

Warbler lay under a tree, in the shade, crying. She clang helplessly to Iggy, and wept. she shivered thinking of all the bad things her parents had done to her, trying to kill her, before giving up and dumping her in the middle of knowhere.

Catching sight of Warbler Prince slowed his pace.
"Warbs..." he said queitly as he crept over to her. As he got closer he lowered himself further onto the ground until he was practically crawling on his belly over to her.

Warbler whimpered, but refused to look at him, as a storm rolled it. The wind blew, and thunder rolled across the blackening sky.
"I.. thought you were di-different." she muttered, hugging Iggy close.

"Warbs..i am...i am.." he insisted. "I dont do any of that anymore...i stopped, cause i learned it was wrong.." Prince folded his ears back flat against his head.

She moved away, shaking more, because of the thunder.
"How do i know that Prince?" She asked, raising her voice a bit. "How do i know that's not why you were all alone when i found you?"

Prince whined.
"Warbler i'd never hurt you.." Prince said. "Ever. I wouldn't EVER hurt you.."

With that (and the thunder being extremly loud) Warbler pounced into his hold, and snuggled up to Prince's warm fur.
"I beleive you now Pwincey....." She sniffled, inhaling his scent.

Prince held Warbler close to him.
"It doesn't matter what anyone says about me," he told her. "I will never hurt someone i care about..especially you."
