Humphrey looked, craning his head to see the two pups. He smiled. "Oh, hey- Aurora, right?" he smiled, motioning her to come over. "You came to see me?"

*******

Lilly nodded. "The more you talk about it, the more I can feel it, too."

Aurora nodded. "Yes, Mr. Humphrey, we were really worried..."

------------------

Garth nodded. "We should head back, it might be a beat or something."

"Well, everything's A-okay now!" he said with a smile, rubbing her head. "I'll be just fine now."

"Really?" Tobias perked up, having become a little submissive in front of an Alpha.\

*************

Lilly nodded, strangling a whimper so as not to upset whatever was watching them. "I think that's best. We should go before it gets angry."

Aurora whined. "You're sure? You got hurt pretty bad..."

--------------

Garth nodded. "Let's get out of here," he said, starting off.

Kira let her eyeshine be visiable to Lilly for a brief moment, then vanished into the woods.

"I'm sure. I'll be just fine." Humphrey nosed her gently. "But I appreciate you two coming to see me."

*****

Lilly's eyes widened as she turned, and saw that shine of an eye she did not even remotely recognize as a bear. "B-b-b-bu-but..." she stammered. But, when she turned back, it was gone. She shook her head. "Did I imagine it?" she murmured to herself, before going off with Garth.

Aurora nodded. "You're our friend, why wouldn't we stop to check on you?" she asked, smiling.

---------------

Garth waited up for her before continuing on beside her. "Lilly, is something wrong? You look like you've seen a ghost."

Kira chuckled as she watched the two wolves run up. "This'll be fun..."

Humphrey grinned. "That-that right there makes me feel a lot better." he said, rubbing their heads again.

"There was something..." L:illy said feebly, looking back. She turned her head forward. "It must have been the light. Playing a trick on me."

Aurora smiled. "Thanks...you're a really nice wolf, Humphrey, I don't know why those two meanies would hurt someone like you."

---------------------

Garth nuzzled her. "Are you sure you're ok?"

"Well, some wolves don't like the fact I like Kate." said Humphrey, winking to his mate. "Yana and Blaze both don't like it. But I'd rather be hurt then let them take it out on someone else."

***************

Lilly nodded, smiling at the nuzzle. "Yeah... Just that mind trick spooked me. Let's go."

"No one should be hurt at all..." said Aurora, concerned.

------------------------

Garth nodded. "Alright, let's hurry," he said, moving fowards but keeping at her pace.

"That's true," Humphrey said with a smile, sighing a little bit. "But it's part of my job to redirect anger. I'm glad no one else got hurt."

*********

Lilly kept close, just enjoying being close to her mate.

Aurora nodded. "Alright," she said, then nuzzled Humphrey. "Just get well soon, kay?"

---------------

Garth got them both back to the feeding area. "Well here we are..." he said, looking around. "Looks like everyone is finished eating."

Humphrey made an 'x' shape over his heart. "Cross my heart." he said,

************

Lilly smiled, looking grateful to be back. "Good, that means everyone's full!" she said happily.
